If you follow my route with the same mode of transport, it's basically a full day. You can shorten the time by half by hiring a private taxi to the border and take a direct shared taxi from broder to Khujand.

It literally took a whole day because I wasted my time looking for public transport and suffering a long queue in the immigration because the power was cut for a few hours. If you take a taxi from Tashkent to the border, get a smooth immigration process and take a direct shared-taxi to Khujand, I think it will only take around 3-4 hours.

@@charisseramientos4428 The SIM Card in Tajikistan works well. I forget whether I used hostel WiFi or internet from my local SIM card, but the internet was working well in the cities.

I don't think there is a direct taxi. There is a direct bus but it only goes when it has enough people (8-10). You have to contact Asian Express one day in advance to make sure about that and book your ticket. Otherwise, the easies way is to take a taxi to the border (I don't know how much). For one person 10$ from Tashkent Airport to Oybek border of Tajikistan. Then taxi from Oybek to Khujand 5$. But if you want to take taxi for family. It costs for one car 25$ - 30$ from Tashkent Airport .
