Jaguar S Type - Coolant Breakdown pt2

Following our adventure filling the coolant tank of the Jaguar S Type in the shopping center car park, we tried to get the car home but ran out of coolant again ...!

Did you find the leak friend has the same problem with there jaguar I changed a pipe and the tank for them and still loosing coolant no signs of a leak even dye tested no signs of leaks and it’s not in the oil either any help please thanks 😊 Jeff

Coolant expansion tank had a slight crack.

Just change the expansion tank. Majority of the coolant leak issue is the tank, tubes and radiator second and third. I've replaced it recently with a X Type or S Type petrol. Good old ebay and £30 😁

Was it the tank or faulty radiator cap. My stype had had a new radiator and is still losing coolant when driving at high revs

Hi It was a leaking thermostat housing; once replaced, all was good. Thanks for watching.
