Thanks for the video. They are great cars in my opinion. Own a 2018 Xe v6 awd 35T. In the last year, I have turned this car into a monster. Mina gallery air intake, lower and upper pulleys, Vap Velocity tune, and now sport CAT downpipes from Fabspeed. Will add a meth kit in the spring. The interior lacks the finish of the BMWs or MBs, as the general feel of everything is not as nice as the German cars. But the driving experience even stock is dynamic and acutely visceral for a driver's driver. And with these down pipes and the air intake upgrades, this car sounds incredible throughout the gears. I have had a dozen nice sport cars over the years, and they all have their own character for better or worse, but few have given me quite the joy of taking this car the long way home every time.

2016 XE S owner and it’s such a racket. The instant power available and the way it turns is like a sports car. The adaptive suspension means it’s also comfortable on long drives and can switch to handling in dynamic mode. Mine has done just 18k and hoping it would reliably last a few good years to come.

Enjoyed that. I pilot a 2016 X260 XF S Supercharged with the same engine and same interior (jet/red). Fantastic car! I reckon you got more exhaust noise because, as you said, that XE S had a custom exhaust setup. However it still lacked the F-Type exhaust which produces a glorious sound when opened up. I had a ride in an XE S once, it felt more settled and more sports car-like than the XF S. The XF S handles superbly and has more space and comfort than the XE, so I am happy with my choice. As one reviewer said, when you look at the engine / gearbox / suspension setup, the XF S Supercharged is basically an F-Type S with space in the back for your mates and room for their luggage. These cars really come into their own on a twisty B-Road, but as you were driving a dealer's car in a city you obviously didn't have scope for that kind of fun. I'd say you've been bitten by the Jaguar bug and I anticipate you will enjoy it. 😉

It was a pleasure to drive the XE S. If I had the space, I would have had one included (preferably with a back-up camera) and whilst I have owned and reviewed an XF, I would like to try an S model with the supercharged petrol V6.

@@maz500 nice! The supercharged V6 is a very different car to the 2 litre Ingenium engines. Although I have not had a go in the P300 AWD, which looks as if would be pretty tasty. If you are ever in Northern Ireland, look me up. I would love to take you for a drive in the Supercharged!

Your description is right on, but if you could only hear mine with the upgrades I described above. Fabspeed down pipes made my car sound as nice as any F-Type and my upgrades have increased HP by at least 100 to 120 at the wheels. Its unbelievably fast now but still has the grace of a premium drive on local roads. And the sound - a true Jag bellow so sweet that I even enjoy driving it in eco mode when driving in slow traffic as she has such a purring sound.

Love the review I drove f type s. Amazing sound and very snappy. The ride however was rather brutal imo. How is the ride on the XE compared to the f type
