Jaguar XF 3.0D V6 TDV6 Engine Sound. Suspicious for me , ok for others. Your opinion ?

Which sound (high pitch or low pitch)? At 0:54 to 0:59 a lower tone / rhythm appears (surfaces again later, 1:14)... or are you wondering about the higher pitch clicking? As for the lower tone, I have heard something similar on VW TDI engines... water pump?

0:43 it's like a "tak" among many "tick's" to say so :) Something out of "round". Think is a tappet noise as when car drives slow speed at 1200-1300 rpm I can also hear it. Can also be heard at idle, a ticking noise.

@@GigiBeleaDK Hmm... when you watch the video, does it sound the same as in "real life" standing next to the engine? Engine noises in videos (especially when recorded with a smartphone) seem to not always sound the exact same as when you stand next to the engine (most of the time the engine sounds noisier than real life). I assume the noise is more evident on a warm engine?

@@EXOVCDS yes, it does sound the same. The car is still under extended warranty so I did not want to dig deeper for now. Anyway, on COLD startup you can clearly hear the hydraulic lifters clicking for a very few seconds.

hi. today i had the same jaguar(remember chain repair), and it saunds exectly the same after half year. also had one with broken crankshaft - the sound was terible and starting engine was hard(seized).

Yes, when crank will seize , you can hear noise on the bottom. This one has no noise on the bottom, it is very silent in the lower part of the engine. Did you record the engine sound on the chain problematic one ?

the engine is tired, oil changed at 30k instead of 10k

Since I have it , I always change oil at max 10.000km. Had it since car had 98.000km , now it has 120.000km. If I remember correctly I changed oil 3 times now :) Before me, according to service book, oil has been changed at every 20-24.000km... yes, not my choice. (Service book says oil changed at : 20k, 46k, 65k, 84k, 98k) then I changed oil 4 times myself , last one at 120k with an engine flush.

Sold 2 months after starting to hear the sound :) But tbh , engines not bad IF maintenance is kept and car is taken care of. Has some weak points but well... every car has.
