Never taken my XF's bumper off in 5 years of ownership but may need to one day so thanks for the helpful video. Personally I wouldn't paint the growler badge black as I think it will get lost on a black grill.
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
I agree Steve. I left it as is and have put it all back together again. It looks so awesome with all the grills being black. I had to buy a new R badge because the old one disintegrated. That little badge cost me £120. Ouch! 😱

@@carfanfan I imagine the gloss black looks great against the white paintwork. That's insane money for that badge! I need an engine undertray but Jag dealers want £220! for a piece of moulded plastic that will never be seen -trying to find one from a breaker

Hi Hilton. How's it going? Outside temperature on the rise again? Great video. Another brave parts removal. Is there anything you wouldn't tackle? It will be good to see the finished bumper with the new grill. A lovely Jaguar XFS at the end. A great colour combination. :-)

Hey Hilton, thanks for this, I need to get bumper off sometime, I need to replace the left headlight washer, it's been leaking for quite some time, so I've used a putty-like sealant to block it. And also one of the parking sensors are a little bit pushed in, and I want to fix that. I've had another issue with the bonnet's alignment with the top of the headlights. The right front corner of the bonnet sits slightly higher than on the left. I've tried adjusting those black rubber knobs to balance it out and it has a bit, but after a while the right corner still pops up a bit, the black knob is all the way at the bottom rn. Any idea why or how to fix it?
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you may have a slightly bent bonnet. The adjusters should work with no problems. Have you checked the alignment by the windshield where it meets the door on the opposite side? If it's lower that end, the bonnet is bent.
@bloocookie13 жыл бұрын
@@carfanfan Actually I haven't, Ill definitely check it out in the morning! Is it where it meets the A-pillar?
@JetFire9 Жыл бұрын
You need to adjust the latches down to get the bonnet to sit lower. Just turning the bumper won't always do it.

Hey Hilton, I just purchased a 2017 Jaguar XF 35t Premium AWD, and was thinking of upgrading my front grill and front bumper side grill covers from chrome to the gloss black variants. I have seen some on ebay for decently priced, because the OEM parts are insanely over priced. The product is listed saying they fit up the 2015 model year. Would you happen to know if the grill sizes are the same on the 2015 and up models? I have a feeling they are but can't really find anything on the internet to find out for sure.

Hi Hilton, I’ve a normal jaguar XF x250 gasoline, Can I fit the bumper of the jaguar XFR plug and play??(like yours) do you have a code? Thanks
@carfanfan3 жыл бұрын
It will fit but you will need the XFR undertray as well. The undertray on the XFR is shaped to fit the XFR bumper 😉

Hi, nice video. Please, do you know if we can remplace the front bumper of the XFR X250 by the facelift without to change the lights. I ask this because my front bumber was cracked and it s just impossible in France to buy a used part. Thanks in advance
@carfanfan11 ай бұрын
I'm not sure I understand your question clearly - your bumper is cracked and you want to replace it, but no used bumpers available. Are you wanting to replace your bumper with a pre-facelift bumper? That's not possible unfortunately. The entire front end is different including bumper brackets.

Hey Hilton, love the videos. I have recently purchased the Jaguar XFR 2009 model. One thing has been bugging me and I was hoping you can shed some light. When I unlock my car at night my rear number plate lights don’t come on. Is that something I can turn on from the system or did Jaguar just make it difficult and not give us that option? Please let me know.

Nope, bumper must come off. The grill is well secured into the bumper by many clips and you need a screwdriver to unclip each and every one.

@rachidobili Unfortunately I don't. I'd recommend Googling for one and then check if there are good reviews for that place. Most are not good and will end up stealing parts from your car so be careful. I dealt with 3 and all 3 were not reliable.
