I first saw a 'C' being driven by John Steed in The Avengers and immediately thought it was the coolest design. Over 40 years later and I still think it's hard to beat for sheer style and panache. Harry is like that uncle that you see once in a while that just play golf, but you feel 30-40 years ago was selling cars, insurance and doing these underground parties.

Underground parties? Harry seems like the kind of codger who was hosting cocktail parties where everyone listens to smooth jazz.

I’d love to visit Harry’s garage. He’d be like “come and see my Ferrari/Lambo/project 8” etc etc. I’d be like “take me to the XJC immediately” 😂 It was already my favourite car warts n all.... now it’s going to be my favourite car period!

Will there be a full cost breakdown Harry? 500 hours + parts, paint and an engine rebuild makes for an eye watering figure 😳💰💰

Going to write it all off anyway, and it's now a pieces parts car. I love how he says it looked and ran great before they tore it apart and found it's just a beater.

When Harry eventually gets the XJC into a concours, the judges will be shuffling through these videos for the lowdown.

Loving this series about the Jag restoration. When I was a boy I loved Steed's Coupe in the New Avengers and did actually see an XJC once in N. Wales - living there you didn't see many nice or exotic cars. This is excellent.
