I have a 4.2 2007 xkr &69k miles and would be interested to know if you need to consider doing anything significant with timing chain guides as a preventative measure ?

A really informative video - thanks. I notice that you are running on Michelins on the rears. Just Cruisin' who has a KZbin channel has fitted a set of Pilot Sport 4S to his XKR and says they have transformed the drive for the better. I have recently fitted a set of Dunlop Sportmaxx to my XK and the road noise levels have gone through the roof. I think this has a lot to do with the low profile ratio that you mention and that they are run-flats, so probably a harder sidewall compound. I would certainly steer clear of the Dunlops when it comes time to change your tyres.

Hi Phil. Maybe it was the stone. However I noticed when applying the brake the sound changed - hence thinking it was the high spot on the disc. Either way glad I got the stone out

Nothing wrong with it. They only have one reverse light other side is the fog light.

@@danielroberts6637 Correct. Here in the States, I've made a print-out of the manual section where it mentions this quirk. This way, if I'm questioned by a cop or inspection station about it I can show that it's "working as designed".
