Not really shepard does the same thing in that mission except he's nicer about it. Javik gives it to her straight and even then she still doesn't believe her government used prothean tech to groom the asari and to empower themselves with said tech and damning the rest.

@@yusufyusuf1998 1. make a new save file before a main mission or side mission 2. choose 2 random squadmates 3. do the mission 4. reload the save file 5. choose new squadmates or mix and match one with another 6. do the mission to get different banter, dialogue and sometimes unique cutscenes (especially with mods and restoration project, that brings back cut out content) 7. rince and repeat.

Interesting fact, the guns that the protheans use, the ones that shoot the green fecking laser, are meant to make ammunition payloads and storage units obsolete by making their standard fire arms not require ammunition. Instead, they shoot a giant ass laser until they overheat. And can be fired again immediately after cooling down. Not requiring ammunition to be transported and/or held in storage units for standard weaponry is pretty revolutionary from a militaristic point of view.

My headcanon is that the reapers were intended to target asari when they were attacking originally. Shepard made them target humanity.

@shis1988 tbf the reapers were going to kill all space faring races that found the citadel(and mass relays) equally. It's why Asaris(and salarians, humans, etc) were spared by reapers in the protheans cycle despite existing. They weren't advanced enough It's also why the Yahg were unaffected by the Reapers this cycle(as a race, they hadn't found the Mass Relays)

Javik is a great example of history not being what you expect. Hell, the Roman empire is seen a similar way to the Prothean one, vast, advanced for its time, and beautiful. But then you get beyond the illusion and it’s actually pretty trashy

@@pileoweirdness Every civilization has its flaws and dark parts, not even our modern world is that different to what the Roman Empire was and sometimes history is not about a constant progress, sometimes people go backwards. The Fall of the Roman Empire was a carnage and induced the world into a new age of barbarism and misery. Pretty similar about what the Council did to the galaxy, they where so obsesed with their own superiority that they never imagined that something bigger than them existed, arrogance is the graveyard of empires and souls. That is the moral that Mass Effect tries to push, all alien spicies feel so humans that it hurts.
