Ive never seen a GM like baalke who drafts so many players who just didnt have much production in college compared to their draft position. I understand traits are.important but so is proof you can perform.

A gave the draft a C+ with a chance to be a solid B if Smith can show that he is healthy and can compete. I feel that we reached for just about every pick in this year's draft except for the 1st. I feel that we left a lot of talent on the board when we made all of the rest of our picks after 1. Smith was such a reach for me - love the player, but feel like he was a 3rd round pick and we could have gotten a better CB with that pick. I hope that it turns into an A+ draft in the future because I love my Jaguars, but it was not a good draft IMO from where I sit right now.

Fair grades, would've liked another Guard or Outside Corner somewhere but definitely good with most of it considering the state of the roster right now. I don't like grading this early but have to give a B/B+

Loved the first round move, but I knew Ballke would get back to being Baalke, the amount of talent and needs he passed up is beyond me. I like Jones, but aside from that I thought it was another bad draft

Disagree other than liking the 1st round which was great - good kicker, returner, Dline depth, corner depth. A couple questionable picks but honestly all picks are questionable until we see them a few years in. Definitely not a A or A+ draft at this moment but I give them credit for addressing some needs.

I love the Jags, always will-but this draft was hard to watch. They should have taken Nate Wiggins in the first. We have viable WRs… bad draft… another 9-8 season thanks to Baalke

Nate Wiggins???? Nahhhh
@_hauntme4 ай бұрын
@@draahpsquad3592 He’ll be a stud starter in Baltimore man. Has by far the highest ceiling of any corner in the draft and would have fit nicely with Ty and Darby. Corner is becoming a liability for our defense and we did very little to address it. I’m hoping we can snag a Xavien Howard or Steph Gilmore before camp… disappointing draft.

I understand that much of your grading system is based upon value grades of the available players. However, It is important to remember that value grades are only part of the equation. A team must consider If a player is a fit to the culture of the team, to the personalities that are already there, and if this person has an opportunity to be sustainable for a long period of time. Additionally, Trent is all about physicality. The jaguars have not had sufficient depth in the last two seasons. Trevor nearly got killed last year. It wasn't till he was months into off-season that he recovered. When you combine the upgrades from free agency with the upgrades from the draft, you see a roster that has been refreshed and upgraded. They were not drafting for value, They were drafting for need. They are also playing a percentage game. If you draft enough monsters, some of them will become Hall of famers. Some will be duds, but even the duds will be a big massive Chunk of meat in the middle of the line that they have to run around, and not through. Now that I think about it, that wouldn't really make them a dud would it?
