I think the main problem with this game is that divorce is actually seen as a good option nowadays. They could have done a couple who clearly still have feelings for each other and are just having trouble communicating, but they did a couple that fell out of love and divorce is a reasonable option. That’s why so many people finish the game being like “yeah no we’re still getting divorced”

To be honest the game is pretty open ended on if they get a divorce or not. I like to think that they do but they’re still friendly mostly because of what you said. It just didn’t feel like they liked each other till at least halfway through the game.

I like how they keep dunking on the dad even though he is filling the “mom roll”. In the stereotypical family they are dunking on moms. Swapping the parental rolls was just another beautiful design choice for a great game.

yeah but this is conveying a relationship with a lack of communication. we see a lot of representation of abuse and escaping abuse in media... this relationship portrayed still had hope to still push forward and such for the child (which i think is great, because imo having a child in itself is selfish, and if a couple wants a divorce thats okay! but for their child, they should try to at LEAST get along.) but seriously, im sorry for your husband that he went through that, as someone who has been abused i understand🧡

@@mattymerr701 yes of course!! like if the game ended (idk if it does ive only watched tje intro cutscene lol) like they close the marriage and still remain close for the child, thats great! but if you have put a lot of time and effort into a relationship but want to end it because of boredom, miscommunication, etc.. i think a message if working to fix the problems to make the marriage stronger is great :) obviously some marriages need a divorce (whatever the reason may be) and thats okay!

6:07 if I was Cody I would still do the „wake up test“ because in a dream the characters are exactly how you imagine them. You can’t tell they’re different except with realism and if you know that well it’s gonna be pretty realistic too.
