I just love how Jaiden makes every death feel so impactful by adding little snippets of the mons chilling with her and Jacob and just overall pouring so much life and personality into them with the way they move, the faces and gestures they make etc. Whether it be the Franklins chilling, eating berries and wearing flower crowns (and just the whole segment where Jacob and Jaiden reminiscent about them on their death), one Plapp riding onto another while their trainers stroll to the next location, the Darphaels having a roasted marshmallow party or Micheal giving Jaiden a look of concern before looking back towards his death, they all feel like they really were more than just team members to carry their trainer to victory, and this is why their deaths legit *hurt*
