fun fact! dragonfruit that you find in the store are usually underripe because of how long the shipping takes so if you can find them locally grown (there are some growers in california and mexico i believe) they'll probably be a lot sweeter. also, the vietnamese white variety (which is commonly sold in stores) tends to be more mild, there are a lot of very very sweet varieties

I'm from Nicaragua, we can cultivate these here becuase Dragon Fruits (aka "Pitahaya" in Spanish) are native of Centroamerica. We also make drinks, they are like lemon juice but sweet. It's flowers bloom at dusk and fade at dawn.
