When I went to Universal Studio's in Orlando Florida, they had 2 guy's driving the Bluesmobile that look JUST like John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd!!!!! I was standing in line to get on a ride . When I saw them , I got out of the line , chased them down and they let me take a picture with me and them in the Bluesmobile !! 😊 Then they put on a show that was AWESOME!!!!!! They danced in the street with us . I tell ya , it was soooo much fun !!! RIP John Belushi ❤

It was an old Mt Prospect police car, which Elwood picked up at their sale “they were practically giving them away” (it’s in the scene where Elwood collects Jake from Joliet and there leaving. Jake asks “where’s the Caddy? The what? The Cadillac we used to have, the Bluesmobile”?

They had a midemeanor, then because they usually escape the police, it escalated to several felonies and to what you see here, all because they were trying to do a good deed for the orphanage they grew up in. As for Drake and Josh, probably because the were brothers too, one skinny, one fat and music was a main point of the characters.
