I'm sure there's someone out there who doesn't like Jaipur, but I haven't met them.

Another fresh look at an older board game! Great stuff, and worth the price ($0) of subscription! Keep it up

Not really bothered for various reasons. Just shows how google favour the larger channels and beat down on the smaller ones.

Wife and I just went on vacation where luckily, there was a game store. Picked up Jaipur and 7 wonders duel for our stay. Jaipur was very fun and easy, especially compared to Duel. And yeah, the setting up with the tokens was a little bit of a hassle, but not too bad. Looking forward to playing it with my gaming friend. Oh...it reminded me a little bit of Istanbul as well. Thanks for your videos.

Istanbul is a great Rudiger Dorn game…reminds me of 5 tribes too

I really like this Jaipur game. There is a small card game called Pearls from Abacus Spiele which is 2-6 player and has similar gameplay to Jaipur according to zee from dice tower. bought 999 games version cheap. not yet played. I think setup looks simpler....

We love Jaipur, great to see a review. We have tried 4 player with a basic expansion of the rules but the "some bastard nicks your cards" aspect got really bad as there were 2 more players to do it. Made it feel very random. Need's some additions to the rules but then we started re-inventing Istanbul.

This lill game is in the top five of 2 players game, of about everybody, for years.. lots and lors of possible strategies, which means almost infinite replayability, very simple rules.. which is cool, when you need to refresh your memories . Basically, it's a GREAT game. period

You hurt my brain trading just ONE card, and then "selling" two types of cards at once.

Thanks for the review. Have seen it on the shelf never played it. Have recently played Capet Europe and found it a fun two player game.

Original art work for me is the best, do you use the Panda on the camel card rule for ties on number of camels?

No

Great review as always. I'm not in Jaipur, but greetings from Amritsar! I've extended my stopover in the UK in February, so see you then!

Setup isn't bad after the first game. Unless you just chuck the tokens into the case with no rhyme or reason.

Did I miss mention of how the camels work as wilds? There is a real meta mind game on when to lay down vs hold those camels
@BoardGameBollocks2 жыл бұрын
Camels don’t act as wilds. The rules state that they go directly into you herd.
@chassehouse2 жыл бұрын
@@BoardGameBollocks Apologies bad choice of words on my part.. So, yes, camels go into your herd and don’t count against your hand limit HOWEVER you can play them at anytime like they are a “good” to take cards from the center of the table. So say for instance you want to claim a bunch of cards in the market but not sacrifice any in your hand, you can do so by replacing them with camels from your herd Now the market has a bunch of camels, nice to claim for that camel bonus/flexibility for future plays but also potentially helping your opponent as the person who sweeps the camels from the market can cause a bunch of new cards to come out at once Apologies if I’m preaching to the choir but my wife and I find how and when to play camels to be a big part of the game
@BoardGameBollocks2 жыл бұрын
In that case all card are wild.
@chassehouse2 жыл бұрын
@@BoardGameBollocks True, again bad choice of words on my part using “wild” the trick with camels is it lets you make moves not limited by the cards in your hand. Have a few choice cards in your hand that you don’t want to give up and some more choice cards show in the market? Use your camels to pick up what you want from the market instead of having to sacrifice cards from your hand (as long as your hand is still within your seven card limit at the end of the turn) I just want to stress that camels are a HELL of a lot more useful in game than just a possible 5 point bonus at the end Collecting and using camels strategically is hella powerful (and satisfying) ps f’n love your channel
@BoardGameBollocks2 жыл бұрын
It’s pretty tucked away in the rules. Doesn’t tell you camels can be used as goods until the tips section which is weird. Easy to miss.

We were fans of this before the quarantine, and once that started, well then played we it a LOT. Well, because... only two players. The luck-of-the-draw is _somewhat_ mitigated by it being best-two-of-three. And the sorting? We just re-assemble the stacks, as if we were playing the next round. And then we put it away.

Set up for the next game after playing? That’s just embracing the pain before absolutely need to.
