Also that horrendous decision of batting first in bangalore test and having 2 seamers in that test killed us. Being such an experienced person at 37 and captaining so long, don't know what made him bowl first in a English kind conditions at bangalore. And his failure at the top puts a lot of pressure on the rest. You see how Virat made a century without much pressure today. He is majorly responsible for 3-0 loss and I'm scared that we might lose the tempo if he wants to open again in the second test match. Either let him bat at 6 or carry drinks. I think this match will serve as a wake up call to the Aussie team. I still wouldn’t write them out. 1st test is over and done with but they will find a way to bounce back in the series. Australia learnt the exact same hard lesson which India learnt in the NZ series. You prepare pitches to put opposition in problem, without realising that your batting line uo exactly have those same weaknesses and if the toss doesn't go your way, you are gonna be cooked. The rest of the series will confirm or deny this but I feel this has been coming for Australia for a little while. The Old Trafford Ashes test would’ve been a hiding of similar proportions save for the weather, the loss to West Indies at home. Australia aren’t the side they used to be, and if you look at the age of the side, that makes perfect sense, a lot of players are coming to the twilight of their careers all at once
