i wouldnt call it the death of the series, personally i feel content with it ending there. what i think "killed" the series (or at least insulted its name so badly naughy dog admitted to regretting letting it exist) was the lost frontier. (The real death was naughty dog's decline in later years and i guess the poor reception of jak 4 concept art).
