two things i noticed from this is that when jake and amir were still making jake and amir, everyone said, "i missed the old episodes at the beginning," and now everyone just plain says they miss jake &amir when it's over. also, i like how over time jake's fuse grew shorter and he became less like a friend/paternal figure/on occasion seemingly... romantic figure? in amir's life, but also knew him more and became closer to him as he seemed to be less patient with amir
