Just because you are a master at your craft doesn't mean you are an expert in relationships. The fact that she did this knowing that all this hate would be brought forward in a generation known for its cancel culture, shows she hasn't grown much since she wrote the song in the first place. People hurt people and not letting it go after their has been time to heal hurts everyone again. I don't know Jake Gyllenhaal and I'm not a fan of his stuff, but I won't be blinded by Taylor's music and forget she is a human. She has flaws just like he does, but he isn't selling those flaws to thousands a decade after the events. I've loved her music and I'm excited to see if she grows more and learns from the past instead of holding onto it.
