jake has taken the most unconventional route to being a pro fighter ever no amatuer no background nothing to give him some credit tho he is the only tuber fighter to fight fighters whether mma or unknowns etc his 9-1 is the equivalent to a starting boxers record against journeymen because its essentially what it is for him rn he skipped amatuers

The guy was facing former UFC champions in his 5th fight for God sake and people were complaining about it, like a KZbinr should have any chance against an elite combat sports fighter, yet now when he's doing what pro boxers do at the start of their career everyone is moaning at that too. There's just a contingent of people who despise him for some reason so they'll just shit on him regardless.

Hes an athlete that happens to be a youtuber and has been trainied by world class boxing trainers for 3 years before his boxing matches w/ ex ufc fighters bc he has the money. His progress has been expedited than your boxing enthusiast/hobbyist at your local boxing gym bc of that and his work ethic he developed from wrestling. The trade off in those matches was jakes youth bigger size/natural athleticism and exclusive boxing training vs more combat experience but older smaller and transitioning to different sport.

@@ammoplays1972 Jake claims he can beat him and most high level professional boxers. He's talking so much shit, so now he must prove it. Otherwise keep your mouth shut and tell the truth. Viddal said if the money is right or if Jake is going traditional, he'll fight him. Jake has both of those rn. High name value, money pull, AND is going traditional and is RANKED right below him. Jake did this, you should blame him. Plus Jake is talking about "wanting to be world champion" So instead of fighting potatoes, fight people who keep you on your feet. He fought T-woodley, Silva, and Fury. Three of his only challenging fights. The rest were all punching bags (You cannot argue his recent fight, the other dude before this one, the basketball player, Ben askren, gib etc were anything to T-woodley, Silva and Fury. He has a 30% here. That's a horrendous record) In 70% of his fights he was not challenged, and in the 3 where he was, he lost to T fury, almost got KO'd by Woodley the first time and took like ten rounds to win second time (credit there tho), and got showboated on for a cheesy victory vs Silva. Again, if Jake wants to become a champion he better take this fight. Because the path he's going, it's inevitable. It's also inevitable he'll lose, because 70% of his fights were easy. He has no VALID experience to challenge Viddal ever. Meaning his hopes of world champion are useless rn

I'd love to see a rematch after this fight cuz Jake has clearly improved. But fighting retired bums is not entertaining. Jake's a good boxer, I'd rather watch him spar real boxers, as I'm sure he has, than fight bums

@@tsebanjo that’s what yall fail to realize. While Jake is improving the guys that he chose all know how to box and have boxes 2 times as many years ATLEAST than Jake. Andre and Ryan both are multi golden gloves champs so they are better than him BUT they haven’t been active so that brings them down to his level ideally. Unfortunately Ryan didn’t train very hard we can all tell and that’s not jakes fault. Andre was in shape but he did the same repetitive thing over and Jake seen it and threw the uppercut and slept him. It’s not like Jake is world champ level and can fight anyone. It’s a fine line between fighting someone over qualified or under qualified. That’s why he was fighting woodley and Silva because they have been fighting and elite level talent but not boxers and they gave him a great test BUT all the haters say fight a real boxer and he does that but now it’s they are bums. So let’s be honest here. Jake can’t win no matter what he does. Until he loses everyone will say his oops are bums. And he’s been trying to get the Tommy rematch but Tommy won’t take it

The problem with Jake doing these low-level fights is that these are the type of fights that amateur Boxers with no name or star-power would take in order to build their profile. Jake doesn't need these fights because he's already a big name, so the excitement for these types of fights are so low as a result. Honestly, I'd much rather watch Jake fight a boxer with a low skill level, but who's just as young as him and just as active in fighting as him, rather than watch him fight an "experienced" fighter coming off of a 4 year layoff with a wife and kids. He's clearly not fighting guys who want to win.

Yes but the opponent quality has gone up as time went on. Jake went from high level ufc fighters, Tommy fury, and now retired boxers who took years off their careers. He can still fight an unknown fighter that has a similar skill set to him. Because then he's leveling up and improving

I think a reason people are having a strong reactjon is that jake is selling out fights, co-main eventing huge events fighting bums. That’s the big difference between what he’s doing and other fighters do. When any other boxers are doing it, theyre doing it quietly early on cards, not making a big deal about it and moving on, while jake’s retiree fights get touted as comains, tons of propaganda acting like it’s his biggest test yet, etc.
