Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

On July 20th, Mike Tyson is going to re-enter the ring vs. "The Problem Child" Jake Paul on Netflix. Now, we don't yet know if this is an official boxing boxing match, an exhibition, a Netflix spectacle, or WHAT it is?
So... I made this bout with the sort of parameters that Paul has been fighting in, and that Tyson fought Roy Jones in back in November of 2020. It is 8, 3 minute rounds... but the question is, does the younger Paul beat the older Tyson? Or, does the former Cus D'Amato fighter have one great effort left? Watch this simulation and find out!

I don’t think it’s going to be that kind of event. When he fought out here in California vs Roy Jones, they were both instructed not to go for knockouts. This bout is happening in Texas but I doubt they are going to try to knock each other’s block off. It’s a fun event that has everyone talking about Boxing, but the buildup to the event will most likely be the most exciting part of this night. 🥊

Tyson isn’t your typical “ Do what you’re told” guy. He’s already said “I’m going to end him”. I don’t think he’s lying about it. Jake Paul is toast if Tyson decides he wants to knock out Paul. I hope he does.

Well… you are certainly right that Tyson does match to the beat of his own drummer. I like Paul because he’s brought a lot of attention to the sport and he does take it seriously in terms of training.

If this wasn't an exhibition, it would be more interesting. While Tyson is in his late 50s, Jake Paul has never been close to the level of Mike Tyson. Five of Paul's wins have been against opponents fighting in their professional debut. Sure, age can be a huge factor, but only when all things are equal.

💯! The things in Paul’s favor are youth. However, I highly doubt these guys are going to go at it, because even if they did, and even at this advanced age, I still think Tyson could do damage, if he really wanted to.

Mike tyson got rocked and knocked down in the 4th round. The longer the fight goes, it favors Jake Paul. Its not a fair fight, given the ages. I hope Tyson win. I liked Razor Ruddock. I liked Mitch "Blood" Green. Do you remember his real street fight with Tyson in Brooklyn? Look it up on youtube

I thought, given how he’s always been able to take a punch, he could certainly outpoint Jake Paul in the way that George Foreman became a better boxer later in his career vs. the likes of Shannon Briggs, and such

This fight is staged, an exhibition, or a death wish (for who I'm uncertain). The trick to knowing depends on the sounds of the punches that land on Paul. If Tyson throws careful jabs and body shots and loses, it's staged. If T and Paul go the distance and either/both get significantly damaged, it's an exhibition. If T or Paul get the "undisputed" clean KO in the first two rounds, it was a death wish.

I’ve been playing this since 82 or 83 when it came out😂 It may look bad. You may not believe it. I’m about to say, but it’s the most realistic boxing game. You can be winning a fight and then get knocked out randomly. You can also win a fight in the same way. Trust me, I know that’s gonna make you laugh. And the other games certainly look a lot better. But I’ve never found a game that replicates Boxing for me the way that this one does in terms of being the theater of the unexpected (to use Larry merchants phrase)
