The locking laces is why I bought the karakouram. When I am heading down hill I want my foot locked in so my toes don’t get rammed into the toe of the boot. They work perfectly.

I’m jealous of those OG Trangos. I’m always on the lookout for any earlier model Trangos for a big wall/aid climbing boot. The Boulders are a favorite of mine, having something akin to a light hiker with sticky rubber that climbs surprisingly well is pretty close to perfection

Great Vid about some awesome boots man! Good boots aren´t only important in mountainclimbing. You are doing a favor to a lot of people, by showing them these brand. Best greatings from a mountaineer from germany.

Thanks, for the vid. How would the new Trango s evo's wear, if worn by an arborist? The yellow eyelets won't break off, if I pull the laces too hard? Thanks.

Mine are the brown ones on the right but the rubber goes over the toe more. Been 12 years and still wearing them every day! Need a re sole. There older than my kids. Hahaha..

Hi Jake. Great video, I just bought the karakorum on the basis of this video, also the La Sportiva fit was the only last that gave my feet heel lock, Important for the off trail conditions here in the New Zealand high country. Now,.. what product would I use to waterproof the leather?.. The shop suggested sno-seal which i am not so sure about. The La Sportiva site recommends Nikwax Aqueous Wax. what do you use?

Tim Strickland hey Tim...I'm glad the video was helpful. Thank you for watching. I use SnowSeal and it works great. I haven't used NikWax treatment for boots yet, but I might get some for testing.

the cubes have basically no cushion. make sure your feet are tough enough to deal with that. The European Sportiva line up has karakorums with gore-tex, wish they'd import them.

im keen to get a pair of the karakorums, can you please do an individual review of them? i'd love to see how well they work!

What activities are you going to be using the Karakorums?
@sampeffers50658 жыл бұрын
Mainly Tahr hunting over here in New Zealand. So pretty much light to heavy mountaineering with a rifle. I've got Salewa mountain trainers at the moment but they just aren't stiff enough for my liking.

Does anyone offer a boot like this but in composite toe?
