Carl Zha is great. Keep calm and carry on and keep a safe distance from the USA
@arthurlincoln90932 ай бұрын
It says here that Carl Zha was born in Chongqing in 1976 and is the son of a professor who migrated to the US where he worked at the University of Illinois. His father and mother both protested about the Tiannemen Square massacre outside the China Consulate in Chicago while Carl wrote posters in support of the students and watched events em unfold on state TV in Chongqing until the screen went blank. Our Carl arrived in the USA in October 1990 where he attended the Kenwood Academy in Chicago, "the ghetto" as he describes it. Living in a rough part of town, his ambition he tells us, was to be middle class and part of the American Dream. And he studied hard like the typical Asian myth" to get into the Illinois Maths and Science Academy which was to be his first step on the road to Twitter, Patreon, Linkedin and Instagram. Being at this rural boarding school "just stiffened my resolve to get into the middle class and you know, join join the ranks of the American Dream", he says.

"Tienanman square" incident was actually a US perpetrated color revolution trying to overthrow the Beijing government, but failed. according to the US ambassador at the time on the ground of TM square no one was killed, can't remember the ambassador's name but he quoted years later that there was no casualties, the western media ran with it and it's still saying to this day many died, i would not believe the western media, how did the iraq wmd turn out, even colin Powell said years later it was a stain on his legacy, there's many more examples of the lies Xianjiang is another but it'll take too long ✌️peace

Carter then said the US has been at peace for only 16 of its 242 years as a nation. Former president Carter then referred to the US as "the most warlike nation in the history of the world," a result, he said, of the US forcing other countries to "adopt our American principles.Since 1979, do you know how many times China has been at war with anybody Carter asked. "None, and we have stayed at war." While it is true that China's last major war--an invasion of Vietnam--occurred in 1979, its People's Liberation Army pounded border regions of Vietnam with artillery and its navy battled its Vietnamese counterpart in the 1980s. Since then, however, China has been at peace with its neighbors and the world. China's peace dividend has allowed and enhanced its economic growth, Carter said. "How many miles of high-speed railroad do we have in this country?" he asked. China has around 18,000 miles (29,000 km) of high speed rail lines while the US has "wasted, I think, $3 trillion" on military spending. According to a November 2018 study by Brown University's Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs, the US has spent $5.9 trillion waging war in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other nations since 2001. "It's more than you can imagine," Carter said of US war spending. "China has not wasted a single penny on war, and that's why they're ahead of us. In almost every way." The US has also invaded or bombed dozens of countries and supported nearly every single right wing dictatorship in the world since the end of World War II. Most countries surveyed in a 2013 WIN/Gallup poll identified the United States as the greatest threat to world peace, and a 2017 Pew Research poll found that a record number of people in 30 surveyed nations viewed US power and influence as a "major threat." The US has also invaded or bombed dozens of countries and supported nearly every single right wing dictatorship in the world since the end of World War II. It has overthrown or attempted to overthrow dozens of foreign governments since 1949 and has actively sought to crush nearly every single people's liberation movement over that same period. It has also meddled in scores of elections, in countries that are allies and adversaries alike.

Here in the US, we confuse train stations with military base. In this respect, we've build a network that stretch way farther than China did. And we have stationed our troops in each one to make sure our missiles and nuclear head are somewhat operative by getting the native to perform routine maintenance in exchange of protection against ghosts.
@arthurlincoln90932 ай бұрын
When China was domestically weak and divided it was no threat to its neighbours. When China became a Peoples Republic in 1949 the threat increased as it looked to the Soviet Union for support. Almost immediately it colluded with Soviet Union to acquire nuclear technology and by 1964 developed its first nuclear detonation. Post 1989, China has become one of the fastest militarized states as befits a communist state with regional ambitions. Current disputes with most of its neighbours, the South China Sea, India, Japan, Taiwan and its siding with Russia over Ukraine show that China under the CCP is an aggressive nation with hegemonic ideas backed by the PLA as an offensive force in the world.

Its a cultural issue on Xi meeting with Jake Sullivan, its courtesy and respect that China still have for the US to show that the hostility shown by the US towards China's development, that China is still willing to work with the US and understands the domestic US climate that is currently hostile to China as portrayed by the mainstream media and their politicians to push the blame of US problems is because of China. It is undeniable that most of US manufacturing have gone to China, but this is because of Corporate US that is responsible for pushing for high profits and low cost cheap manufacturing so its an issue that China cant really defend against because of decisions made by US big tech and corporations to push wallstreet stocks with high returns and dividend.

Wall Street and Silicon Valley came to China for profits, money and dividends. Pure profits hollowed the industrial landscapes in the US GB EU and Japan. The US invested in high tech, fintech and space sciences. In 2000, China invested in high quality, high tech goods and services. As China increased her production, innovation and markets, the US became marginalised. Till this day.

Follow the path of the Dao and subdue your own ego you are not just going to win yourself but also are beneficial to others, which is called harmony.

China listens to the US because the US is a large country. China knows that it has to deal with the US, even if the US has very poor leadership. It's something like the way one treats an insane person - there is no sense in making it more angry than necessary, even though one is not going to allow it to get away with anything. Toughness, coupled with polite firmness, is the order of the day. Eventually, the US will fall into line with other countries of the world, but it is going to need to suffer first. China knows this, and China knows that trying to force the US to shape up too quickly can endanger China and make things even more difficult. If China handles things as well as possible, the US will continue to become its own worst enemy and eventually bring about its own realization of its mistake, thus learning its lesson.

Jake Sullivan in Beijing. No thank you. Not another one from Washington DC. Is there any one who has not been to Beijing?
@SLF-o2w2 ай бұрын
One big reason that Sullivan had to make the trip to Beijing is because Blinken and Yellen both messed up be ruining relations when Yellen lectured about overcapacity, followed by Blinken’s lack of diplomacy which progressively got worse and worse, such that on his last recent trip, there is video of Xi looking at his watch asking when is Blinken going to leave, no sit down meeting, and the severest put-down of all was that no Chinese official whatsoever was present at the Shanghai airport to bid farewell to Blinken, only U.S. ambassador Nicholas Burns who did a terrible segment on 60 Minutes with Leslie Stahl in Beijing, complaining how bad U.S. relations has become. Of course, China and much of the Global South considers Biden, Harris, Blinken and Sullivan all to be war criminals in the Israeli war on Palestine.

3:24 No, the question is not why Sullivan would go to China - when the US sanctions and openly declares its war plans. The question is obviously why Xi would receive him? His is an intelligent leader - why spend time with a warmongering lunatic? The answer can only be this: It's not uncommon that intelligent people joins company with people far below their intelligence - in some kind of masochistic and humiliating role play. China, Russia and Iran very much enjoy playing that game.

Your not alone dr., even I as a Chinese-Filipino living in Asia scratch my head "even if I have somewhat of an idea why" with China's lack of resolve and wasting of time and money dealing with the West and makes China look somewhat weak, but then again I am conservative far right politically so I can't really fully comprehend how the Chinese Communists think but one thing is for sure, if they allow China to go back to the century of humiliation due to their antics, that wont be tolerable. I would also consider my mindset more similar to the West even if I have intimate knowledge of the Chinese mindset, I have my theories why the CPC thinks and acts the way it is with the US but it is not a positive for China, the CPC are doing it for political reasons, they have their own interests that may not be aligned with the interests of the Chinese Nation or Civilization similar to how the US government/MIC/Globalists have interests that are not fully aligned with those of the ordinary American or of Western Civilization, opening this discussion is another big and convoluted political can of worms. Oh and the US with the BBM government are currently doing some shady things in Southern Philippines, breaking down the only free media left and Duterte's support base, commandeering the KOJC compound adjacent to the Davao Airport, which the US probably has plans of converting into a dual use Airbase; our military also recently said they are now thinking of buying midrange missile systems from the US, the same system that caused controversy with China and Russia.

But we'll listen to what he has to discuss, say and repeat our stances on the usual issues, shake hands, take photo shoots, and diplomatically shoo him back to his plane and wait for the next American smart aleck to come calling to booster this/her political career. A big waste of our precious time as they are all fly-by-night elected or appointed American politicians. Here today, gone tomorrow!" Discussions with American politicians is like playing chess with pigeons as they will knock over the pieces, poop on the board, and flies away convinced they have won. In the meanwhile, China quietly goes about their business in implementing what's best for their nation and people with or without the USA who is the source of the problem to conflicts, regime change, and wars around the world.
