4:09 for any of the Urza’s lands, you only need 1 everything counter on it for it to activate. For example Urza’s Tower could be ur only land out, if it has an everything counter on itself, it sees itself as a Urza’s Mine and Power Plant it activates and can immediately tap for 3. Just stating that to help out other peoples gameplay

Question, do lands with an everything counter on them get the abilities of named lands or just the name of the land
@JakeandJoelareMagic6 ай бұрын
Just the land type
@fdrehug73185 ай бұрын
@CarlosOleaSixtos just the land types. However there are 5 exceptions, mountain, forest, plains, swamp, and island do have intrinsic abilities to tap for the respective color so the lands w/everything counter can tap for any color of colored mana

@xwaevy62375 ай бұрын
omo is easy to win with, you can throw any creature tribal buff or static ability in the deck & it works. Omo is not impressive at all, Wizards wins all your games for you just by printing the card.

I have Eldrazi Incursion and the Wife got tricky terrain, she has best my Eldrazi 6 times now and just stomps. Even after we upgraded our decks Tricky terrains just keeps me in check with its fast Mana gains😢

Quick note on the urza lands, all you need is an everything counter on the land itself and it now taps for the full value. Other lands not needed. One land with an everything counter on it means you’ve assembled tron off the rip.
@JakeandJoelareMagic6 ай бұрын
thank you for that correction! full oversight of that on my part... this commander can be a doozy!
@joshoa902106 ай бұрын
@@JakeandJoelareMagic for sure! I have been watching tons of games on here with the not upgraded precons and it comes out of nowhere with huge mana and gets problematic in a hurry. This deck is very aptly named “tricky” terrain for a reason.

Nice video! Regarding Omo I think everyone is making the same mistake, not protecting her enought. Those everything counters don’t have any effect if Omo is not on the battlefield. So the only thing your opponents need to do is killing her and all that sinergies of merfolks and stuff are over. So, more protection of anykind is need: counterspells, phase out or blink (which is the more sinergistic with Omo by the way)

I definitely would've liked to see a Maskwood Nexus in the first deck as a backup for the commander

Everyone I've seen who upgrades the Jund deck completely forgets about Bitterblossom. It's single handedly the best upgrade for this deck. It's a Kindred enchantment, so it counts towards Goyf power, and it makes evasive flyers to make more Goyfs

@paulszki6 ай бұрын
Hmm.... sounds like you're playing slivers that get turned off the moment your queen dies. Also, will it be worthwhile and fun if you're basically playing a bunch of vanilla lords that buff your stuff? I'm not sure, if that's the best use of the commander...
@chrisfletcher19905 ай бұрын
@paulszki it's his deck and his money he can do what he wants. It's all about having fun and just playing with what you can or have.
@paulszki5 ай бұрын
@@chrisfletcher1990 I don't think I forbade him to do as he likes? Not sure what the implication is here. I think I'm still free to voice an opinion, no? My point wasn't "you can't do it." it was "Before you spend money on getting cards for your idea, consider if you like the idea more than how the deck might actually play." No need really to tell me that he can do what he wants. I ... know.
@DoNotPassGO5 ай бұрын
Token creation is actually the way I went with Disa. Disa's second effect splashes with WAAAAAAAAY more cards than her first effect does. Throw in some changlings, a Doubling Season, some flyers, and your creatures are gonna go both wide and tall. I'd argue to also take out Coram and create a Voltron deck solely focused around him.

I am going to buy a fk ton of Final Act's. All its going to take is some epic black battles to be printed, a Battle Pre-Con with black in its color identity, no Final Act reprint and another top-down, war-themed 'tentpole' set to be released and that card will become an instant staple. Free tendies...

Hear me out: Eldrazi Conscription on Ulalek, copy Eldrazi Conscription with Ulalek's ability, now you have a 22/25 commander with annihilator 4 and trample.
@JakeandJoelareMagic6 ай бұрын
not bad, that's pretty much exactly what an eldrazi deck wants to do, right? go nuts
@mikebutler93566 ай бұрын
My favourite was to give conscription to a frenemy at the table. You still own eldrazi conscription, so if they ever attack you, just annihilator the conscription on their creature. It's chaotic and banter

@@mikebutler9356 what if they don't choose to sacrifice the Eldrazi Conscription though? Seems risky unless I'm missing something.

@@APerson001 you are the one that needs to sacrifice a permanent you control. The opponent controls its creature but you control your aura on it. So the point would be: i give you this as a present but if you attack me I'm going to sacrifice the aura.

PSA: for the Omo upgrade a creature with an everything counter will Not count for a full party towards Multiclass Baldric. While the counter works for land type stuff like the urza types, "party" specifically requires 4 different creatures with those types even if one of them is all. This is the reason changelings didnt go hard when party mechanic was first introduced.
@JakeandJoelareMagic6 ай бұрын
For sure. We get to spread those counters pretty quickly
@supranova75946 ай бұрын
@@JakeandJoelareMagic Agreed and definitely still worth a slot since she can just do the counters every turn. Still just a thing to watch out for for newer players, she Alone won't get all the abilites until there's 3 other everything creatures. 👍
@fdrehug73185 ай бұрын
Yep you only can count the creature as 1 for the party
@wolfknap94945 ай бұрын
the only cut I disagree with is eldrazi conscription because with your commander you can copy it for two extra mana and chose the same creature or a new one. if you put it on your commander you have a good chance with winning with commander damage.
@F4xP4s6 ай бұрын
Putting everything counter on Urza’s Tower would automatically allow it to tap for 3?
@supranova75946 ай бұрын
Yes cuz it checks for any lands with the other 2 types and an everything counter includes tower, mine, and plant type for that land even the urza piece itself.

I'd keep Ulamog's Crusher for a while just because of the interaction with Ulalek and God forbid Echoes of Eternity. Being able to slap down 12 8/8 with annihilator 2 each AND they need to attack next turn it puts super heavy pressure on your opponents in one turn without removal.

You've sold the Inversion Behemoth short. It can kill any 0/Xs, push more damage trample damage with low power, high toughness creatures, or prevent favorable blocks by switching a high power to the back. Wall of Omens preventing early damage? No problem. Want to push through a Kynaios? No problem. The only irritating thing is when opponents have N/N creatures, but if your group has a lot of defensive play, you can invert that with the Behemoth.
