This is what it's like to not only have a father in your life but a Dad as well 100% for his son. My Dad RIP spent 0 time with me on anything. Thank God for my MOM and especially my Great-grandmother who raised me since 8 years old. I know I am not alone there are many like me I'm 64 years old now but seeing this makes me feel good.

Crazy - my mom was strict like that with me with schooling, and it made me go to school, get good grades for college and grad school. Whatever discipline your kid chooses, discipline has to be TRAINED into them at a young age for it to really stick. You can see that with all the kids of former NBA players making it to the league today.

Grew up in housing projects and basketball was hardest sport for me but, I dominated from get go cuz athletic and tall. Was hanging on rim at 5’6” at 13 yo. This Brunson was not scoring one basket vs me at similar age. Fathers matter. Mentors matter. Many have talent, very few have direction and focus and game plan. Awesome father.

I’m sure he did this for a reason, if you don’t know then you won’t ever know. Guarantee they went to the local Y, or school gym to workout in the mornings, and then gym or park in the evenings. That’s how it goes down.
