Everytime I watch a video of yours now I am amazed to see how much weight you have lost! It is truly amazing to see

That seagull effect is on the pink floyd song echoes
@davidjohnsen32457 жыл бұрын
maidenmasscare1 It's also on the Pink Floyd song, Is There Anybody Out There?
@wbwillie7 жыл бұрын
i've read that the seagull effect originally came from plugging into a crybaby backwards and manipulating the tone knob
@sonic71847 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's true. I tried it with my buddy's wah and it's really cool.

Fancy FA I tried with my wah but it doesn’t work on some newer ways :( I’m not sure exactly why it won’t work but I read somewhere it could be because it’s true bypass or something idk

Life long wah fan here. The cool thing about the Wahcko is that no matter how much bass there is it always throws to solid high end you don't lose that like you do with so many other adjustable wahs. Personally, I think the Wahcko is best wah ever made. A true masterpiece. I am fortunate enough to have the handwired one and the board looks like a work of art!
@DylanBrisbane7 жыл бұрын
This is probably wrong but i read that the "seagull" effect was discovered when somebody plugged in David Gilmours Wah backwards.. I've heard thats the story.
@HeathFoley7 жыл бұрын
Any traditional wah can do that seagull effect simply by plugging the pedal in backwards (guitar into output and input to amp) I think what they've done is wire that toggle up to reverse the signal flow? That's very cool!
@boonexy7 жыл бұрын
Rabea, it's just a reversed circuit. Gilmour found it by accident. It used to only work on the old wahs. Have you not seen Live in Pompeii? Go watch it lol

One of the best (and versatile) wah's I've heard in a while, but at $320 US, I'll stick with my Clyde for now. Maybe after I collect all my Strymons and power supplies to power them...
@superandrd7 жыл бұрын
WOW, that is a killer sound on position 2
@jeremiahmountain24607 жыл бұрын
Dave Gilmour uses that effect/sound is in the middle of echoes, embryo, and on the wall etc. I know you can get this sound if you plug in a Vox wah backwards
@serenowithers21807 жыл бұрын
To anyone that wants the seagull effect on any wah for free, just reverse the inputs. Meaning, plug your guitar input to the amp input on the wah and amp input into the guitar input on the wah.
@giuseppebaja3 жыл бұрын
problem is, not all wahs are ‘vintage wired’ and won’t do anything if plugged backwards
@mark71667 жыл бұрын
The seagull effect is achieved by reversing the signal flow through the circuit (IE, if you had an old wah, you'd plug your guitar into the output, and link the input to the amp.

I swear when I heard the seagull effect, it sounded like Toska to me. And the you said it yourself. Awesome!

Rabea I gotta ask after a few videos I watched today. What do you prefer, a guitar that you have to fight and struggle a bit with or a submissive "plays like butter" guitar that rolls over and lets you do what you want? Irrelevant to this video but figured I'd ask it anyway

Hey Bea! Congrats on the weight loss dude, you've made a tremendous amount of effort and you've succeeded! I'm in the same situation you were a few months back, and damn it's hard... Seeing you progress gives me motivation + freaking good guitar chops! Thanks dude, keep on rocking ;) Cheers from France.

Seems to me some of the old crybaby wahs had a similar "siren" sound if you held them all the way down for a short length of time, early 70s...unless mine was defective..lol..it use to do that same thing..Great looking video, and beautiful strat!

Echoes and Is There Anybody Out There by Pink Floyd. David Gilmour’s tech accidentally plugged his wah into his amp backwards once and he used the “seagull” sound on those songs if you need some inspiration
