I see how much jam you used and think to myself, "that's not enough". Would it be a bad idea to use more jam or a lot more jam? I'll be giving it a go anyway. It looks very similar to a dessert we would have got in Primary School back in the 70's, the base was just shortcrust but the topping was what you made, which makes me think, of my Grannies apple tart which had that type of pastry. That’s a 30 x 18 dish the butter is enough for a 35 x 20 cm dish just roll it thin It’s teaspoons Mine was 160° depending on how hot your oven cab gets just start with the lowest temperature then heat must be on both top and bottom for the first 15 minutes then increase to 160°

In the beginning after she made the dough, she divided it into 2 and popped one half into the fridge. Once she was done with spreading of the jam, took dough out fridge and used a box grater to grate the dough over the jam
