I love Christmas in Jamaica, it was my favourite time of the year. The food, community and laughter made this holiday the best in the world. The first world countries seem to have a different way to celebrate. They emphasize on buying all the expensive gifts and then loneliness creeps upon them like a thief in the night.

This is so on point...the new curtains, painting of the house, cakes, sorrel, varieties and quantity of food and grand market until early hours of Christmas morning...memories 🥳

Christmas in Jamaica, as much as I can remember was fun. Fun I have never experienced anywhere else. It was exciting, greeted by family and friends who we haven’t seen in decades. But I cherish the times my older sister and myself would paint inside and outside of our home and change up the position of the furniture. Without the consent of our parents. During this experience we would laugh and giggle about not been able to even shift the bigger pieces of furniture, but we made it all happen.

What about the jerk pork, and my granny used to make the world's best egg punch with a splash of rum and she would serve it at about 5 am when we were still asleep (barely awake) Awesome!!😂❤

Ohhh yes .. you said it. Yes my mom used to make the egg punch for me and it was awesome. One of my favourite memories of Christmas in Jamaica.
