NO losers in that race. ALL the Athletes were able to sprint 100M in under 10 seconds....think about that. Congrats to ALL. NN's race more impressive THIS time because of his clearly poor start. He dug deep for the 9.79. KT ran 9.79 and is on the improve. Hopefully KT and NN will both get even faster. A rivalry might drive the 9.58 to be challenged. Imagine how fast UB might have gone if he had anyone even near him. Man is not only a Jamacan legend, he is the clear Global GOAT when it comes to Sprinters. We should all celebrate the Athletes for their hard work, human physical accomplishments and sportsmanship. Otherwise why do we hold the Olympics??? For Corporations to make money??? That was NEVER the intent of the games. All the Athletes deserve their Props.

Kishane had the physical talent to win, but Noah had the mental edge & the experience edge. Not to be too critical of Kishane, but the fact is, the pressure of the big moment got to him, since he'd not been pushed like for the full 100 meters in any race this season. All this races this year were easy, but in the big moment he didn't execute all the way though the finish line the way he could have. Noah executed properly and dipped at the line at the perfect time. That is what allowed him to win by 0.005 second. Experience counts, and this will turn out to be a good experience for Kishane. He will grow from this, learn from this, and will only get better. The future is bright for Kishane. This is just a stepping stone toward bigger and greater things.

@@Martin199320 it is my understanding that he has been dealing with persistant injuries for the past few years that have hindered his running. 😂 what is wrong with this generation and thinking everyone deserves a medal. Lyles won. It wasn’t a tie. Is this the lack of education in America? Someone’s torso will always cross before another participant…ALWAYS. But as far as the race goes…this is who Lyles is. What he lacks in start speed he makes up for in top end speed. He is a natural 200m runner. He chased Thompson down like he did the other athletes at the worlds. If Lyle’s could ever master his start he would easily break 9.6.

Yeah, the IOC started implemented "the upper body lean" to take the advantage. That's why athletes started diving at the line.

Fred Kerley and Kishane Thompson crossed the finish line with their feet first before Lyles. The laser detection should be feet to chest at least. Plus Christian Coleman Kerley ran 9.76 and Thompson ran 9.77. The laser rules should be modified. Everybody hates and loves sometimes. Respect to all the competitors. Let's see what happens in the future.
@kpat3052

You CLEARLY don't know the rules of track. That is not how it works and you don't get to modify the rules to suit your purpose. Do you notice that all runners lean or dip at the line? Like literally go watch any race. They do it because the torso determines place. Not the big toe. Have you ever seen a runner kick their foot out as they near the line? NOPE! You see them lean. That's the reason. Noah out leaned Kishane. He won. Learn about the sport before you criticize what you don't understand.

ITS TIME FOR JAMAICA AND THE ENTIRE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS TO HAVE OUR VERY OWN OLYMPICS. What do you all think??? LETS HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH ALL OUR NEIGHBORS. We can even involve the Central and South America Countries. Lets Partner with the African Nations like Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana and more. All the Leaders of our CARIBBEAN Countries Lets Start this CARIBBEAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE. And let us have our own Olympics Games. We can then give invitations to countries in the North to attend like Spectators.. We can have England, Canada, and all the Commonwealth Countries for Financial Support. Trust me i think it would work. We need our own CARIBBEAN OLYMPICS. Lets Goooo!!🇯🇲❤❤❤

Stupid comment. We're very proud of Rajindra Campblell for winning the shot put bronze as well. We're super proud of Kisahne. He did nothing wrong. He won that race and the officials gave it to Noah. As simple as that. Kishane has to accept the silver but he earned that gold. Nothing wrong with silver at all. But we all know Kishane won. All the announcers, everyone watching the race saw it. Only after that long pause at the end they came out saying Noah won. They also did this to Merlene Ottey at a previous Olympics in the 80s. They say Merlene and the American had the same time but they gave the gold to the American. They keep doing this to our 100m runners.
