You really shouldn’t need to justify your snacky foods. Nothing wrong with cereal bars and squirty yoghurts. All things are good in small measure! Love your videos - I started bulk cooking for the freezer a couple of years ago thanks to you, even though it’s only me and my husband here now. So convenient, so thank you!

I’ve been sick for a while and after watching two of your videos I was able to feel more relaxed! I just watched your canning tomatoes video. You’re brave girl! Amazing! I love my home canned food! It tastes so much better. Thanks for the inspiration! My kids are grown..6 sons, one daughter, and. Adore them! I also absolutely LOVE my 5 little grandsons and one little granddaughter!💜💗💚💙 I also drove a large, 15 passenger van which my kid ds called the daycare van. I also had kept my mini van so I could drive around feeling like I was in a tornado ny car! Good times! My house is quiet and I loved it for about a minute. Now I’m thrilled when they come over! I hope you have an amazing weekend!

A couple of things…I am a true believer in you do you, Boo! Who cares what you eat? I always feel so bad when you think you need to explain yourself. On anything. I was taught by a woman who worked non-stop at a 40 / hr job then came home and took care of 4 kids and an alcoholic husband. She took care of both sides of grandparents. She was tough as nails but still did everything for her kids. She had an 8th grade education and never felt good enough. Everything we ate in the winter is what we grew in the summer. She made our birthday cakes, pancake syrup, pizza, right down to dog treats. If someone came into her house and said something about how we were raised or how she kept her home, they would be wise to turn around and never come back. Ever. But, then she would never forget and add her faults on top of each other. Lastly, I just booked a trip for my husband’s 55th birthday to Williamsburg, VA! We have went back and forth about flying or driving. It is a 17 hour drive but my husband and I travel very well together! If we drive, it also means that I can bring some coolers and go to Sharp Shopper and to your John Henry! I am so excited! Anyway, May is coming soon and I will have to do some inventory in my basement. Thank you for listening.

I hate that you always have to explain what you are doing. I think the fact that you've come so far is inspiring. Having serious health issues, and not being able to eat solid foods myself, there are times when I have no energy to cook. So, I've started canning when we get enough to have any extras. I found some free jars, and my aunt gave me my uncle's canner after he passed early this year. I would say I'm jealous, not in a negative way, but in an "I'm struggling now, but hope to be where you are someday" kind of way. You work your butt off, and your family should enjoy the stability that brings. Going through times of great struggle makes you long for that cushion of knowing you have enough, and to be where you are really is all the hopes and dreams. Thank you for showing that it is possible to grow to that. You truly do give hope to those who are struggling. P.S. Your collection of jars is AMAZING. I'm currently out of pint jars. We're only a family of 4 (3 of which eat actual food, and 1 of those 3 tends to eat differently), so I just told them until I can get pints, they will have to eat whatever they open for a couple days if needed. It all works out, I'm just grateful when there are enough meals to know we can feed everyone for the month. Don't ever feel you need to explain why you do what you do, because anyone who doesn't get it likely hasn't had those times of great struggle to help them grow to understand the triumph that having a grocery store in your basement truly is!

Hello Jamerrill, I've watched your video's for a long time now but I really loved towards the end how much you emphasised that you haven't always had such a large budget for food and household items, I struggle with a tight budget but do manage it, just about !!! I've 5 adult children and a grandson living at home plus my sons father visits from abroad every 3 months and stays generally 6-7 weeks at a time, I like how you make sure everyone knows that you haven't come from a place of privilege and that you've also struggled and that it's nothing to be ashamed of, it's encouraging to see a 'You Tuber' admit not always having extra disposable income, I really like that you put that in the video , lots of love to you and all of yours from Dublin, Ireland, a city that is unfortunately in the top 10 most expensive cities in the world to live in at the moment 😢😢😢, anyway, best wishes to you all xx

what a great concept, I wish they had a Sharp Shopper! near me. I live by myself and absolutely hate Costco, the amount of time I waste is just not worth the 'savings'. I joined to buy high dollar non perishable items in bulk, like disposable razors. I was seriously disappointed at the prices, they weren't cheap enough to justify the price of membership and the time wasted with busy parking lot/checkout lines and having items spread out so far (like Home Depot Hardware). It wasn't worth it, so I stopped going. But I realize if you have a family and want to buy things in bulk, then it would be worth it.

I just realize that my daughter lives 40 minutes from Sharp Shopper in Butler, PA. Next time I go to visit, I'm making a trip to Sharp Shopper. Can't wait. Now just have a John Henrys close by. I know you are very thankful for Sharp Shopper and John Henry's and the great deals. Like several said on this video, you do not need to explain or justify your purchase to anyone. PS: It is my husband and myself and I still like to be a "smart shopper", even for just the two of us.

Costco's are always Crowded, because they are popular. Sam's are crowded but they don't have certain items like Costco's does. You would have to go to both stores and comparison shop , to see which one, you like the best.

@@JamerrillStewart you are so welcome. When I found you in 2019 I felt like I was drowning trying to budget, plan, and try to save for our first home. My partner now is looking at houses in the state we wanted to move to and your lessons on family life and budgeting really helped us be able to get this point. I have tried to write you a comment dozens of times but never had the nerve to post it. Thank you so much for being your kind and generous soul. Have a blessed Sunday with your beautiful family.

Our electric bill was $500 for February for a 4800 sq ft house with all of these appliances (it can go from $400 to $700, depending on the time of year). We had a mild February with even some 75 degree days. Or freezing days and an ice storm. Virginia is mixed up weather wise 😜. Our electric bill in our 100 year old farmhouse for 10 years was around $250 a month. That was without electric heat or air conditioning and only 1/10 the appliances. That's why I think our bill these days is ok in comparison.

My daughter used to buy coffee pods, but now they use a refillable coffee pod, that they can fill with their favorite coffee. She has found it to be a huge savings, and less waste for the dump! (Just an idea)

I know a few people who use them also... but I'd bet in JS's house it might end up outside as a toy. When you have a pile of kids some convenience items aren't ridiculous.

I have tried many but cannot keep them from opening up during brew! I have to still either throw it out or sift it. I’ve tried several different reusable pods and they have all done the same thing. They are not cheap!
