I think if more kids grew up in nature like this they would have less behavior issues and learn more. taking care of animals, helping to plant vegetables and the like teaches them so much.

When you said “ Now, That I don’t have any kids in my armpits” I was laughing so hard! That’s the best phrase I have heard in a long time. My Mammy ( who was born and raised in southwestern Virginia) would say “ Get out of my rear” I completely understand what you mean though. I always have someone in my “ armpits” it seems. A child, person or pet. It never fails! Love your videos. Thank you, for sharing your beautiful family and your life with us. I did the dishes and watched this video. ♥️♥️🌻🌻

Your "let's give it a go" attitude is great! I sometimes get so very overwhelmed with the "right" way to do it that I often then don't do it at all. We live in Western Australia and it is planting season now for some veg. So thank you for your encouragement to just "give it a go!! " Which by the way is a good Aussie phrase 😃 Take Care, Katie

We do the tire potato planting, we are in zone 6b as well. Because they are insulated we get 3 growing times starting at St. Patty day. Stack 2 tired , put in potatoes, fill one tire with dirt, once the leaves come up a few inches add more dirt, leaves, or straw. Add more tires and cover as the potato plant grows. We have stacked 5-6 tires high and got loads of potatoes! Remember to pick of flower buds when you see them you want all the plant energy going to the tubers

I would say you are making the most of your growing space so far. Garden looking great! Looks like kids are loving it. I am in zone 7a. I usually grow potatoes in my raised beds. This year I'm using 5 10 gallon grow bags. Got them filled with dirt and Black Kow mix with straw yesterday. Will plant tomorrow. I have cattle panels arched over my raised beds. Will be planting lots of green beans tomorrow, direct sew, some are pole beans, some top crop, some just bush beans. will stagger some plantings on the green beans. Plan to can many jars of these as well as potatoes. Next in water melons, cantalopes, squash, cucumbers. Plant these in raised beds and the vines will grow over the cattle panel arches.

Put lots of marigolds in your garden. They help keep the bugs away. We do that every year and then take the seeds at the end of the season for next year. You can also run a strip of fencing down the row of tomatoes and attack them to the fencing and beans.

Id plant them in early June and I'd probably like a mix of different potato's as well as sweet potato. If you grow them under black plastic you wont have to dig them up and you can lift the plastic, take the big ones and leave the others to develop Good luck !
