Just curious ..... Have you ever thought about raising a pig for meat ?? My nephew's parents used to do them every year or two and they had great results ! The pork is much better tasting and better quality then store bought - as most things are ! It's pretty easy to raise them and then just find a trusted butcher and get it processed ! You basically just raise them like chickens .... Feed them scraps , keep them in a pen , of course and make sure they have somewhere to roll in mud .... Everything seems to be coming along ! Have a great day and stay safe ! God bless ! 🙂

Just a tip! When sowing seeds you do not need to push them down so far into the dirt! Most sees say 1/4inch to 1/2 inch under LOOSE dirt. When using a germination green house like these it’s important to plant shallow your goal is more roots less leaves! Tomato plants take a lot longer to start by seed they truly should be started at least 8 weeks before the soil temps reach 55 degrees. They will need an intermediate pot too these little seed starters will get them germinated and growing. Once they reach 3inchs in height with at least three leaf branches (not including the two starter leaves) I transplant to bigger pots. I use plastic solo cups and just re use them every year! I do the same with pepper plants. Most vine type plants like squash and cucumbers can be started in ground in hills. You can save space by vertically running trellises. Radishes and carrots should also be planted by seed in ground in screened soil. Rocks being present will impede their growth substantially! Sun flowers do best started In heavily watered in ground soil. They should also be planted along a fence unless you have access to strong poles like bamboo for support later on! Best eating variety is mammoth Russian and they get 12-14ft tall with 1ft across heads and large meaty seeds. Have you looked into luffa gords? They make awesome pot scrubbies once dried and are 100% natural and compostable!

To start your seeds, it would have been so much easier to have purchased a 40 pound bag of seed starter soil. Just add it to those little seed starter holes..it takes a lot less time. I am excited to see how your seed pods work. What did you start in them? Is there anything that you will purchase as seedlings, like tomatoes and peppers? Can't wait for another episode in the life of you and your family!

Yes! I check every night, for a new video......if there isn't one, I watch the older ones. Jamerill, thank you...I know that times are touch, but I REALLY love your videos....in this day and age, they are such a diversion to all the stuff that is going on. Since I am now a widow, and am renting, I hate it. No more garden , ca t have one. So, I visit the local farm stands and buy my produce to can. You will love your American Canner! I have had mine about 12 years now. You d not have a gasket to bother with.....and don't forget, always add a splash of vinegar to your water, and your jars will come out nice and shiny. Also, put some Vaseline around the top part of the canner, where the lid goes on, you don't need much, just a coating, for easy removal of lid. Have fun!

Yes isn't lovely to watch helping mama with cans and chicks and turkeys. Then doing some seeds . Shes a fabulous Mama to her children they just take everything in she tells them, but to see children out in open air is so nice.Jamerril and Travis are wonderful parents and and has the most calming voice to listen to.lve watched this channel for years and its grown in numbers her freezer meals for large family are really good and for couples or small families just calculate how much ingredients. I did find out from Jamerill you can freeze eggs lam nearly 60 and I hadnt a clue you could.Grated cheese also seems we all can learn from her.xxx💙🙏💙

So happy to see the switch from preparing large meals to making it work for your family. I live in Kentucky and eleven years ago we had a terrible ice storm. We were without electricity for eleven days, i was semi prepared, food and heat, we did really well. Someone kept whispering in my ear (GOD) you need to start learning and then teaching others how to be prepared. Well that is what i have tried to do,, I taught a class at our church for the ladies retreat, tried to encourage friends and family to be prepared. Did not know what for (now i do). My husband and i did not have to run to Sams and fight for toilet paper or anything else. Im happy to see you are planning on stocking up for the family. Pray your garden produces a hundred bushels of potatoes. LOL.

We are in our first home since we got married and are grateful for how much we love the place. We’re very blessed and know we will be blessed in every avenue of our lives.

I bought my house two years ago. Very different from yours - small house, in the city, small yard. I closed in mid-March and it was still cold and snowy here - I live in the Midwest. Imagine my delight when spring/summer rolled around and I discovered the property came with a HUGE planting of peonies! They aren't in a designated bed or anything and never having had a house or yard, I had no idea what the small, dark green plants growing out of my grass were ... until they grew more and bloomed and I had a hedge row two feet wide and about eight feet long of bright pink peonies. Absolutely the best! Loved seeing your surprise garden of daffodils - how beautiful! Hope you're staying healthy and sane over there. :)

God bless you. I have two kids, gifts from God. The first one was the kind of baby that had my mood: quiet, friendly, angel. The second one is a like the sun in Summer: very warm, but intense. Same mother, same father but so different. I keep myself thinking "imagine 10, like her". When one of mine does not behave well or pick the food I serve, I always think "what would my grandma (11 kidos) do?" Sometimes we think our kids are specially stuborn or something like that, but we treat them as royalty, because se have fewer and fewer kids each generation. God bless you, for following His call on your life. When I feel tired, I watch your videos. Greetings from Brazil.

You're such a great mom! Kudos to you for figuring out how to get four boys' clothes to fit in one small closet! Tip for the desk lamps - check your local Dollar Tree for what I call 'push-button' sticky-backed battery operated lights. I live in south FL and bought several for hurricane prep. They are amazingly bright, take just two AAA batteries, and can be stuck to the underside of the bed above so it won't take up space and no cord/outlet needed. Just press the plastic button and the light comes on/off. The ones in my area only come in white, but that will work with the bed frames.

Hello from Northern Alberta! I’m envious as we still have 2ft. Of snow in our yard. And it’s April 15 and snowing. Just wanted to give you a tip. Miracle grow makes a seed soil which is really fine. If you just lightly put it over your seeds u don’t have to push them down. And I sow my seeds in lines in a tray and once they get there true leaves you can transplant them into cell packs. That way you know that all your cells are planted with a seedling.

It's kinda like...summer, summer, summer, winter for a few weeks, then summer, back to Winter, back to Summer, autumn, etc., etc., Until we finally get back around to spring (straight summer)... I saw somebody use paper dixie cups (the cheap-o dollar tree ones) to do their plant starts. You cut the bottom off of one cup and slide it into another cup which has a small hole in the bottom. When ready to plant, you slide the outer cup off and plant the cup with the little plant in it.

Hi Jamerrill. We are home schooling because of the virus here in NC. There are a lot of security issues with Zoom that the company's trying to fix by Monday April 20 or our schools will not be using it. People were getting into the system and leaving inappropriate comments for children to see. Love your chicks and little turkeys. So happy you guys are healthy and happy. God bless you all.

I was so excited when I sat down this morning before work to eat my breakfast and drink my coffee, to see a new video from you!!! Do you know when you may open up your community membership thing again? Sorry can’t remember exactly what it’s called. So kicking myself for not signing up before. I would have loved more videos from you.

I'm in Virginia too and almost thought about putting up the winter clothes.... glad I didn't! Brrr...... did get the majority of our garden in. Installing drip irrigation today and sowed some onions, oregano, basil, echinacea, and chamomile. Fingers crossed! We've said a prayer and blessing over our garden.

Get the strongest leaf blower you can. There's a bonus. We show dogs. When we come back from one we empty the vehicle, take the leaf blower to it. Works WAY WAY better than a vacuum. Open all the doors and have at it. Takes less than 10 minutes. :)

Love watching you Jamerrill! One idea that I have used...hang over-the-door shoe holders on the inside of the boys’ closet doors. All the undies and socks etc can be more easily reached then a bin/basket! I used for multiple purposes like barbies and action men lol

I know you have already done your seeding. And you mentioned a grow light. I am all for a grow light!!! 1. You can set it close to the seedling and raise it over time so the stalks are so much stronger then normal. 2. Also just using your window the seedlings will lean and struggle to search for the sunlight, stretching them and even though they will still be plantable the success rate will be greater, Blessings!

Grow lights! A sunny window is great but grow lights are better for growing nice sturdy seedlings! A lesson I finally accepted a few years ago.

I love how you are teaching the value of nature and its possibilities!!! I just put 3-4 seeds in a hole in the ground/garden and I have been successful the past few years👍 I also plant according to the moon cycles...seems to do well and guides even the novice of gardeners logically 😉
