To those asking who the interviewer was here, it appears (according to "BBC Archive") to have been a Mr. Frank Delaney in 1984. It was not easy to find that info -- not nearly as easy as it was to find citations of this and other KZbin videos wording themselves in a variety of interesting, but not particularly scholarly, and sometimes flat out inaccurate ways. Well, that's just life today, now, isn't it.

Very cool. Morrison's strength is her use of nuance even when she's being overt. But I can see how her style would rub a lot of folks the wrong way. If you don't mind, please recommend someone I should read--it can be anyone of any genre. I just finished reading Margaret Cezaire-Thompson's True History of Paradise. Very good. But, yeah, shoot me a title if you get a second.
@CyrusSeuss11 жыл бұрын
As someone who reads, may I suggest Toni Morrison, Ralph Ellison, and someone who you'll definitely love, Zora Neale Hurston? Like you, she's not too fond of black people and absolutely abhors the topic of black struggle. There are tons more, but as a reader, these should be under your belt.

im 25, born a decade prior to the gregorian millenium shift. i say the title of the video labels perfectly a man escaping the clutches of poverty, establishing a well wide enough distance Vertically over,from the ignorance that arises from the Black - White duality, and too claiming action in the form of responsibility of being the leading edge for what is today the movement of equal rights for the Gay Community.

No way. Perhaps not my place since I'm neither Black, male or even American, but he really was incredibly intelligent, an exquisite writer, a great civil rights activist and was fiercely critical of the nation of Islam and their financial corruption. Far too authentic a man to have 'sold out' on his principles, were he still here.

Baldwin every one just can't be your way, we are not all agreed, to be equal. We all have a different brain, taste to our own will. Is there one that wish to be a donkey and start eating grass, is it a normal man or is it a Psychopath? If you put two male donkies or two male rabbits in a cage, would they be any productive? A bull and another bull are equal.
