I have been watching youtube video reactions for over a decade, and this is the first time I felt compelled to comment. Your compassion and empathy is restorative to an old man who has seen it all. Bless you both.

James Blunt is very selfless and giving with his music. To share those parts of your life can't be easy. It's very healing for me. His voice is beautiful. His music is very special in my life.

A sad, emotional and beautiful song, what makes it more emotional is that you can seethe pain in his face as he’s singing. Thanks for a great reaction again.

James was very open with something so personal to him that as you say most people would not want to share. The packing away of the little shoes and the babies cot just brings me to tears.

Sad song's are a necessity because life isn't always happy😪, we need to feel all sides of life and music helps us do that, but sometimes it makes your Heart Break ♥️ Peace and Love Gary❤,😢 Don't let it get you done😊😊

A truly heartbreaking song. What a talented songwriter James Blunt is. He is always able to say something so profound with what seems like simple words and song construction. Of course, it isn't simple.

James Blunt seems to deal with his own trauma and hurts by writing beautiful, emotional and raw songs about them. Monsters indeed. I have found these songs personally therapeutic for my own traumatic experiences. I owe him for that. Beautiful reaction, bless you both.

There are always some great lines in songs of James. As you say Dominica: "The first casualty of life is the plan", or "it's my turn to chase the monsters away" from Monsters, or "You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take" from Goodbye my lover, etc. By the way: I agree with some others who reacted to this: you are beautiful people; all the best from the Netherlands!

If it helps at all, James has said that singing about these painful moments is one of his ways to deal with the pain. Possibly a technique he learned in the early days of his career when he was dealing with PTSD from his military days. Carrie Fisher helped him at that point, James wrote Dark Thought about how he felt when she died. All you can do is feel privileged to share his life and music, even in such a small way, and hope that the songs really do help, both him and anyone else going through lifes problems.

Try Lewis Capaldi, the song is Someone you loved. Two videos but you need the video where the man starts at the train station. As sad as it get but in a way as beautiful as a video gets. Highly recommend. Love your reactions.

He writes the most emotional songs that just hit you right in the heart. This one is agonisingly sad. He has a few more too; Carry You Home, Dark Thought, No Bravery and Monsters (I think you have reacted to) just to name a few. However, if you want a nice upbeat and happy song from James, I recommend "Bonfire Heart."

"We can look back at our book with clear sight and give it the ending that we never got the chance to write. And while I know it's too late to pick up the ripped-up pages, I will admit, I still think of our little prince. And sometimes I go outside and look up at the sky and think about what planet he might've gone back to after he died. Then I imagine the three of us living up there as a family in another lifetime." From the movie 'Touched with Fire'. A beautiful extract from a poem that makes my heart ache every time I read it.
