The beauty of the title ”No time to die” is that James Bond has lived his whole adult life sacrificing himself for Queen and country, knowing that any moment could be his last. But suddenly he has something else to live for, beyond England, beyond himself. He has a family. And because of his own childhood trauma, he knows about the pain, the sorrow and the anger of losing one’s parents. Now, he is a father himself. Of all the dangers he has faced and of all the times he has lived through them, now is definitely not the time to die… This is the time for him to LIVE. That’s why the title is both beautiful and heart-breaking.

@marx45383 жыл бұрын
@@nicolausi007 the movies are shifting between closer to reality and away from reality. if EON doesn't screw up, the next actor will be closer to Brosnan, and then the one afterwards will be closer to Craig and et cetera. both Lazenby and Connery may have had a similar scene to what Craig had in NTTD, as they were meant to have a accurate version of You Only Live Twice, with Bond also "dying" there, as Connery was meant to be in OHMSS (which was always planned to be a more serious movie than, say, Goldfinger, which you can find in making-of DVD bonus interviews if i remember correctly) and Lazenby was meant to have a similar movie to an accurate YoLT, which was what Diamonds are Forever planned to be before Lazenby quit. of course, that doesn't make a movie, like, say, Goldfinger, bad, it's moreso a matter of personal preference, but the idea to make Bond "die" in a finale was always there. the reason why YoLT was never made faithfully is because since they couldn't film OHMSS early due to weather issues, they had to essentially make a story that barely resembles the source out of YoLT. a shame, really, but you should know - just like NTTD, the original YoLT was the death of Blofeld... but not of Bond. there's a reason NTTD ends with "JAMES BOND WILL RETURN".

Thank you for this wonderful, poetic edit! I know Daniel's take is not for everybody's taste of who Bond is supposed to be, but I respect that he pushed to have movies where Bond has meaningful relationships with compelling women. Where he is betrayed by his love in Vesper, where he finds a replacement for the mother he never really had in M, and where he finally learns to love again in Madeleine (and this time his love is reciprocated). In showing a Bond that despite being mentally, physically, and emotionally broken could still love and deserve to be loved, Daniel decided not to merely tell a Bond story but a human story. But what is more, is that listening to the cast interviews for this movie, it clearly meant an immense amount to the actresses that Daniel pushed to have strong female characters in this series. It shows the kind of man that he is, that he was willing to take such a huge risk and modernize the age old Bond formula. Their personal connection aside, I think that was part of the reason why Lea was so emotional when talking about what Daniel brought to the role. And respect to Barbara Broccoli for picking the right man for the job. You captured the heart of this iteration of Bond perfectly, so well done on the edit and sorry for the long comment :)

Oh my god! This was so great!!! The cutting the clips the audio and dialogue. The music! It was all so perfectly chosen and done. Amazing! A fantastic homage to the daniel era and all it brought! And a great work of art in general

Really good editing and overview of Craig's tenure as Bond. While I haven't seen _No Time to Die_ yet, for obvious reasons, Craig is still my favorite Bond next to Sean Connery and Timothy Dalton.

I found my love for the Bond franchise with Pierce Brosnan and loved it even more with Daniel Craig. No time to Die signaled for me the death of a franchise though I know they'll continue making 007 movies. For me at least, there is no 007 without James Bond. Thank you for the ride, its been fun.

James Bond will return, just as a recast in a reboot. Or they may go back to the original continuity. The Craig movies were their own self-contained storyline so they’ll probably just go back to the classic style of bond movies, which return to the status quo every movie
