I liked RRR a lot but I did not find it to be a perfect movie. It is a popcorn flick. For me, a masterpiece movie like Sardar Udham going unrecognized internationally is very sad. That movie also showcases British brutality more realistically and I so wish this movie was getting the recognition that RRR is getting, internationally.

If James Cameron were the producer, then SS Rajamouli can essentially make what he wants to make but with 2x-3x the budget, the VFX, the action set pieces, the sets etc can be even better without any budget constraints. I am not surprised at the British omitting RRR from the BAFTAs, if Indians were shown in a bad light Indian film festivals/awards would exclude them too. No one has the moral high ground.

@@harshmathur007 - Well it's more than that now. Rajmouli's vision is growing. Now it's not about winning National cup, he wants to go all in globally. Baahubali was just a stepping stone for him now. He needs James Cameron because if Mahabharata happens and it's big as it is imagined it to be then it needs to be released in English and other languages for that it needs a distributor/supporter and James Cameron could make that happen 10 times better. Mahabharata might be good for Indian audience but only if it made by other Indian directors. Rajmouli will spice it up and he's too good at pumping up audience in the battle/war sequences also to bring out power-packed emotional drama sequences. No one can do that better other than Rajmouli and James Cameron. And also James Cameron vision more what like Rajmouli. If you see JC's movies you'll understand the formula in his movies are just like Rajmouli that always works and he understood that very well when he watched RRR that's why he approached him to work with him if he makes a movie in coming days.

He told that he knew he had a wonderful product in his hand, and he cannot let it go waste. VFX - i partly work in this industry as a photogrammetrist and as u hve seen bahubhali was even though spectacle. half of the visual effects were bad. cameroon sir has connections in billions. so this is were rajamouli sirs vision can be made world spectacle. 3. we need good white actors ( NOT for mahabharat ). they charge a bomb and thats were lotta ppl compromise over whites and inturn make the scene more dumb. luckily we had a good pair of lead villians in RRR but rest of them were not so good 4. great minds combined can create and Invention on screen. 5. Mahabharata is giant huge and epic. westerners are still learning and it has to be also shown appealing to both west and east. plus its VFX actors locations etc u name it. so thats all the more reason big directors like cameroon can point in right direction

Mahabharata cannot be told within 4 or 5 parts each character's backstory will change the way they take decision and in course leads the story to its destiny inch by inch to be honest start with backstories of characters and then join with the big picture. I can only imagine what will it be like when Krishna and Arjuna ride along against karna. That is hard to fathom. I hope he will do justice if not him then who!?.

The subtitles missed it but Cameron said 320 days "sounds about right". A lot of people won't comprehend this unless you're into filmmaking but RRR did something crazy in camera practical stuff which Hollywood is not doing these days with the amount of extras they've used, manipulating fire and water effects, they didn't shoot on closed down real locations since it is a period drama they have to custom make all the sets, weaponry, vehicles and costumes for that many people. And also there are musical numbers and the movie is 3hrs. They have also used miniatures which is a old school Hollywood filmmaking style which they're not doing majority of Hollywood these are on green screen.

You do not think this useless now. Sardar is not in the running for any awards but RRR is so why not show your support. So what if it is not perfect.
