A lot of people are under the misconception that James Corden is a comedian. He is an actor/writer who happens to be funny. He never claims that he does stand up of any type. I, for one, cannot wait for him to take over late night tv here in the US.

I am an American, have never lived anywhere else. Gavin and Stacey is my favorite show of all time. It is not as "polished" or high budget as "Friends" and"Seinfeld" but again I think Gavin and Stacey is brilliantly acted and written. James as Smithy is the funniest character ever and he did not write himself as the lead nor did Ruth.if you haven't seen, it is your favorite show you have never seen. He has changed late night in US along with Ben Winston because the creativity is endless. Thanks UK for sharing them.

A truly emmaculate talent and a genuinely lovely man. I wish him many congradulations on 8 years of hosting The Late Late Show and looking forward to seeing who'll take his place.
