I'm proud to say I was signed to a production deal to Sir Richard's 2nd record company, V2 (Virgin 2). He was too involved with Virgin Air to spend much time on the new record company, but it was still a very cool experience. Unfortunately there were a couple rather incompetent people running the show in the UK and the label went belly-up. They did give me my master back, which was unheard of. He's a great person.

I moved into my flat (apartment) 22 years ago here in the UK & there was no phone line or anything. So Virgin were in the area & hooked me up for free. A few years later I tried to get BT (British Telecom) to hook me up as I was pissed with Virgin. BT replied that they'd have to charge me £120 to put the phone/internet line in. So I didn't bother. MY POINT BEING - sometimes one is stuck with shit. Still with Branson, for my sins.

I like Richard. but Im so happy Im not joyriding into space with all these wanabee celebs. I think Richard should be spending his money on feeding hungry children and eradicating very treatable malaria and cholera rather than enriching the already rich.

Wow, you are a really boring person. He can spend HIS FORTUNE however the hell he wants. If it isn't for people like him pioneering the future we will be stuck in the status quo. Billions are already donated by NGOs and governements towards international aid; a few hundred million from RB is not going to make much of a difference. Space travel however WILL revolutionise the world.

Sarah Cull Google "precision farming". Also, google "NASA spinoffs". Also, space technology doesn't just stop at feeding people. it helps in detection of breast cancer, and has a thousand other uses.

Sarah Cull Handing people food is not sustainable. Allowing them the ability to increase crop yield while reducing the amount of water needed IS sustainable, and is the smart option. Also, it is not the job of entrepreneurs to "feed" the starving...it is their job to create and innovate. Maybe ask your government while these people are starving. OR, create a charity yourself, if you are that concerned.
