I am male and a nurse for a long time. When I was in school a nurse accused me of sexual misconduct, it was a frame. Fortunately I could prove it. I had a female ROTC witness standing by me. The instructor got fired, other things. But I learned only say the fewest words possible, never go anywhere 1:1 unescorted if possible, leave the door open, it made for an unpleasant atmosphere. I went into home health partly to get away so we could be more collegial.

Having worked in Higher Education, it’s very difficult to deny you are sexually attracted to students sometimes, especially the ones who flirt with you. BUT, there’s a huge gap between attraction and even relationships with students, and orchestrating sexual situations with students and artists you work with. If you are a teacher, your responsibility is to share your knowledge and leave the class. It is a job. Yes, as a teacher you will come in contact with a pool of young people. However, that does not mean you take advantage of your position. When you give signals to a students that you are attracted to them, it puts the student in an odd situation.
