Fun fact: the first 6 DC films (mos, suicide squad, BvS, Wonder Woman, JLA & Aquaman) out grossed the first 6 marvel films (Ironman, hulk, Thor, Ironman 2, cap America and Avengers). So “yes”, it succeeded but they were premature with JLA’s failure instead of following thru. The fragmenting, recasting and abandonment of continuity destroyed the DCEU just as Gunn has doomed the DCU. This Corinswett Superman makes Brandon Routh’s look like Christopher Reeve. It’s gonna fail. Bigly.

That's because the MCU built the market up and showed that a shared comic universe could work. The first MCU movies weren't even marketed as a series. The DCEU movies did better because they were marketed as DC's MCU.

If the "fans" respected the actors, they'd be fine with the actors moving on from those roles, since the actors are fine with it. They understand how the film industry works. People who choose to boycott the movies will be easily replaced by fans who are into it. Life goes on - always weird when grown adults can't understand that.
