I feel like James Gunn has a very specific formula of substituting story depth for flashy characters and there’s only so many movies u can make with the same formula before it gets boring.

Gunn is an absolute hypocrite. He states he wanted to chronicle Superman in his earlier years (hence the excuse not to be able continue with the existing canon and Cavil) and yet uses a character that comes along a lot later in superman’s “career” ie once the justice league has already been formed and that there are two other green lanterns and also uses an actor who is as old as Ben Afleck!

@DatMfka That's your opinion, not a fact. I would guarantee that KIDS would. As a fan it seems you would actually want to have a new generation and young people to become interested as well... wouldn't you? Besides...since I made the original comment it must be I want to, so at least this "nobody" wants to see it, and since it's still a good selling brand/comic and they even started making DC Universe toys of them there is a pretty large fan base.

I've got no trouble suspending disbelief but some things that work in a comic book or animated series just don't work in a live action movie. I wish the best for most film projects, but I just don't see this working well. I hope that I am wrong.

I know, I'm hesitant too. I'm a huge Schneider verse fan It's everybody's least favorite movie but I loved Batman versus superman. I loved the martha moment No it didn't make any sense to me why Superman would trust Batman to save his mom after he just tried to kill him but meh I love the way Batman was absolutely brutalist. And that Batman watching Superman sacrifice himself for everyone else help return Batman to a sense of morality I'm hesitant with this new Superman too But maybe we won't be so disappointed?

Looks way too metro-sexual. That greasy hair is just wrong. The jawline is too feminine. He isn't as "off" as the Superman and Lois actor but still way off. Supermen, post Cavill, just suck.
