5 years in prison, for Roger Hallam and 4 years in prison, for each of his co-conspirators, for threatening to block a road. Non violent, peaceful protest. You will NOT see these lengthy sentences handed to the rioters. Those that were happy to assault peaceful protesters, in order to drag them off the roads, because they 'had' to get to work or to the shops, will be the same mindset as those throwing missiles and engaging in assaults. By the way ... what happens, if an ambulance has to get through? Innit.

I appreciate your point , but if the 2011 riots are anything to go by, yes they will. There are people who are still inside now from those riots .

Two months for smashing police car windows isn’t exactly “harsh” is it…

@@Kevhuman I doubt it. "Derek Drummond, 58, was given three years in prison, Declan Geiran was sentenced to two and a half years, and Liam Riley was jailed for 20 months." Drummond's three year sentence is for "violent disorder and assaulting a police officer". Geiran's two and a half for "trying to set a police van on fire and violent disorder" which is generous since he did set it on fire, it just didn't stay on fire for long. Riley's twenty months is for "violent disorder and racially aggravated harassment".

So he's bascially saying because they didn't say the name straight away he was allowed to wildy speculate and anything that happens from that is the police fault because they didn't bow to his demands.
