James Rolfe singlehandedly invented the angry review type video on yt. Crazy if you think about how humble and downright shy he still comes across. Most wholesome dude on the internet, been watching avgn pretty much since the beginning

He's a very genuine person surrounded by a lot of awful and greedy characters. I'm glad he still has AVGN going but it's way past its prime in my opinion, which is fair enough as he's nearly 200 episodes deep now and he has a family too.

The segment where you apologized to James was profoundly resonant. I want this show to explore every hard decision you and the other creators had to make. You all have adapted through countless waves of industry reinvention. OG community members always seem to throw stones because you all rightly prioritized survival over their comfort. I hope you take the chance to hit that topic head on with your guests.

Super happy to see Craig working on this project -- I'm a beforetimes Screwattack reader, way way back in 2006 before the GameTrailers stuff, when the website was mainly one big rolling screen of updates and videos that made my browser chug. At the time Craig was a stickman for some weird trampoline-basketball league, XBox 360 was the new hotness, Moviebob wasn't an utter embarassment, and The Internet was a happy and colourful place. Can't believe I was only 20. Craig's gone grey since! Simpler times, man. :-)

This video was so nostalgic. It's funny how Cinemassacre has worked. I loved it at first largely because of how well James could recapture my nostalgia for my childhood, and now over a decade later, Cinemassacre itself is probably one of the things I'm most nostalgic for. This really reminded me of the beauty of early KZbin and how fun that era where my childhood nostalgia was the new big craze was. You guys are both legends and I could listen to your stories for weeks.

It's awesome to see Craig back in podcast form because I use to love watching SideScrollers Podcast back in the day.

Amazing podcast. Its great hearing about the stories throughout time. Makes me also look back and remember those days in my own timeline. Also it was great hearing some background on the critic avgn thing. It's seems like it's a bit of a old sour topic but I'm glad we got some insight to what went on behind the scenes.

Craig, I'm being honest when I say it is sad for me to see you leave Game Attack. Maybe it still does. But. Seeing you so happy and glad just melts my heart. I will follow you where ever you go. Yes, even to KZbin.

I’ll be honest, I felt myself get a little emotional with nostalgia during this podcast. It brought me right back to 2014 in 7th grade when I found Screwattack for the first time. Watching Screwattack was such a key factor in my middle school and early high school experience. I think this is why I have latched onto GameAttack, and why I already feel myself latching onto this. Thank you Craig, for all the content you have put out all these years. You got a sub for life

I like how Craig shows the clips of what he and James are talking about. it's a good thing that there are some small edits here and there.

I've been watching James since he started, meaning I was also an OG Screwattack G1, and he's a legend like you said cause he's not just the Nerd. He's gotta be the most down to earth dude in the scene. Of anyone I'd like to see be a guest on this podcast, it'd be Handsome Tom. I know he's essentially retired from content creation, but I hear you guys have buried the hatchet and I'd love to see you two do something together. Also Brandon Jones cause this all is related for obvious reasons.

Ironic that James makes videos based on Nostalgia and now he has become Nostalgia!

I agree that's worth realizing, but 'ironic' is just not the right word there... Nonetheless we are old bastards.

Honestly, I've been watching both you guys since the beginning. Now THIS is how you start a podcast! Getting the NERD himself as your FIRST guest! Here's to you guys and Craig congrats on the new podcast man! Great honest and real discussion guys! Let's go!👍😎

This has always been the two people I have wanted to see just tell stories on a podcast. Two of the people that pretty much were miles ahead of the internet video curve years ago.

AVGN and Screwattack kept me sane through 2006-2008, some of the toughest years of my life, by talking about nostalgia. Now I'm here being nostalgic for that nostalgia. Full circle, I guess? I regret not finding this channel before because this interview was amazing to listen to.

I enjoyed the entire interview, even the awkwardness surrounding the apology, especially the humble gesture that anchored and epitomized the entirety of the episode in my opinion. Never have visited ScrewAttack on the web in any capacity, knowing their name primarily from old AVGN episode intros and the side-scroller game I have wanted for a few years now but have only experienced via a Let’s Play or two. And my first and only knowledge of Craig is the UHF video I listened to while working a few days ago. It was not really impactful - but this video truly was. Please excuse my ignorance of your previous work and count me in as along for )the ride , new subscriber and a total J.I. (Join-In) Thanks .

Amazing to hear these stories, and adventures of the past. I remember GT branching out, Screw attack, and Avgn being featured on their channel. Crazy how long it's been. Also it's great to hear how James inspired, and helps people get through the day (especially now) Thanks for the memories 😊
