I'm prettymuch an atheist, anti-religion, non-spiritual apart from my appreciation for the aesthetic of occult/satanism... (possibly from being driven into contrarianism by SoBaps) and I love this guy. I wish every pastor had his kind of introspection; I think some others do, who aren't among the Osteen brand of 'prosperity gospel' but remain silent for the sake of their congregation, so they think. I've heard stories from depressed pastors who no longer 'believe' in the way that their structured religion would insist, and they struggle with whether to leave the clergy altogether

If this man were in my vicinity, I would join his church. As an agnostic, Christmas is always hard for me. “Peace on Earth” seem to be shallow words Christian’s sing, while they elect a man who wants to put groups of humans in cages. They scream words of hate towards people who are different from them. Thank you Mr Tallarico for showing what a true Christian should sound and act like. You have my highest respect. This is the most brilliant Christmas sermon I’ve heard. Thank you! 🙏💜🙏

I have such admiration for Congressman/Pastor Talarico. If only we had more human beings like him in Politics. We would welcome the stranger, feed the hungry, not bear "false witness", and we would all pay our taxes instead of billionaires cheating and manipulating to not pay their taxes. Mr Talarico is a light in the darkness! Even if you don’t have a religion or believe in Christ, this man will make you believe in the kindness and love we all should strive to live in. To embody the spirit of love and compassion to others and be our best selves. To give to those in need and rather than use our energy on negativity we should change our view to one more conducive to a better world. Not just because it’s Christmas, but it is the season of hope, we should take a minute to ask ourselves what are we doing to make the world a better place? Merry Christmas!! ✌️♥️

Before Mega churches there were small intimate churches with maybe 300 to 400 members. Everyone knew everyone, if elders saw you acting out, they had permission to set you straight and send you down the straight path. It was another level of security in your community, you were protected and if you called yourself running away from home, your parents somehow knew where you ended up and the route you took to get there. There was a vigilant network of church congregants who watched you on the way and you never knew. Most of us didn't have to get in the car to go to church bc we walked, unless your family moved out of the community. The sick and shut-ins didn't call the church office to let them know they were sick, the church knew they were missing from Sunday service and several would call or stop by to check on them. The church was a community of people who loved and cared about you, they'd seek you out and check on you and rally around you, good Samaritan style if you were down and out. Thank you for the message, it made me long for the church of my youth, I'm 69 y o but I still miss it. I haven't been in my (Mega) church building since pre COVID, I've received one call since then and that was to tell me how to start a small group study and how to give online. To God be the glory, for all the good and wonderful things He has done!!!!!

Thanks, James. Crying again, I'm crying a lot at odd times these days. I do believe this is the closest I've ever been to a true depression. Christmas Carols are sung as testimonies of Gods faithfulness in the midst of the present datkness threatening to engulf us. "Oh, Holy Night," is one song that continues to bear witness of His promised return. He came first to initiate His Kingdom and build it in His follower's hearts; He comes again, not in secret, but with trumpet sound and in the clouds. Every eye shall see Him. He will then take His rightful seat and rule the nations with justice and truth. We wait with eager anticipation for His righteous rule. In the waiting, we must continue shining our light in a dark world by walking as He walked, loving as He loved, bowing only to truth. Loved this message. It is easy to fall into dispair, but we must continue to stand in hope. He will come again, just as He promised.
