Today is my Aunt's birthday. She passed away from cancer several years ago but she will always live on in my family's hearts through this song. Back in the 80's when my mother was moving to America and didn't know anyone other than my father. My aunt sent her a cassette tape recording of her singing this song for my mom. Such a beautiful version of this song! I love hearing Carol King play the piano while James Taylor sings and plays the guitar. I also love how he gives Carol credit for writing the song. Both are talented musicians in their own right. I’ve enjoyed listening to both of them since the early 70’s. This song will always have a soft spot in my heart. 🌻❤🎵

Many a night I sat in my bedroom feeling so lonely and forlorn. James Taylor came over the radio and sang this song 🎵! As silly as this must sound I truly believed he was singing this song just for me! Thank you James for the gift of your music 🎶! When my amazing , incredible daughter was young , I told her this was the "Daddy Song" because I wanted her to know I'd always be there for her whenever she might need me. I sent this video to her today, 24 years later, to make sure she still knows.
