I don't understand why people are against the US Government. The US is always helping with the development of democracy in countries like Saudi Arabia, for example. The NSA is also providing a fantastic 24/7 support for all Internet users throughout the world. With five permanent military bases in Philipines, established many decades ago, they just want to create a finely tuned balance of power in the South China Sea. With the help of British Government, the US permanently removed the inhabitants of the Chagos Archipelago and established their military base Diego Garcia in the middle of Indian Ocean just to protect marine life over there. The US is also always supporting Britain as a beacon of democracy, where the Head of State and more than half of the Parliament (the House of Lords) are never elected but appointed to their seats that can be even purchased if you have enough money and right connections.
