My sisters and I used to go up for a sisters trip . Very quaint town and perfect for the holidays! We grew up in Cornelia GA… Home of The Big Red Apple downtown.

I live walking distance from the Dahlonega square. I can confirm it is so magical feeling around Christmas time, and it doesn’t wear off even if you live here! My older sister worked in the General store for several years and her sister in law is the manager at picnic cafe. All of their bread and desserts are made fresh in-house. It is 100% worth a visit. Also, I think it’s so ironic that the reason that I didn’t go to the tree lighting last year was because it was “too crowded with tourists” 😅
