One of the most soul crushing songs released this year!
@TheTransitmtl2 ай бұрын
I'm a huge James Blake fan. Have all his vinyl and saw him live but Jame's has never really been a great lyricist and this is an example. There's a good idea there but gid those lyrics sound like they were written by an angsty 14 year hold. And it's basically a Radiohead song
@georgebrown3622 ай бұрын
@@TheTransitmtl who cares its great relax. Sometimes we don't need chapters in songs... its just powerful music with tempo & lyrics in harmony that make u feel something. Simple construction possibly - but it has magic
@MarianaAnselmo302 ай бұрын
@@TheTransitmtli disagree with the point that james is not a great lyricist he's not def the number one but he has written some gems on his albums, however i agree that this song is corny and whinny

As I separate my cardboard Set my tax aside to fund another war My spirit wakes up asking If we're spending what we can't afford Would you come home If you didn't recognise it? Home's tryna be America They just don't advertise it I always say they'd love your mind You just don't vocalise it We all get out of our minds I just don't glamorise it But doesn't it feel like the end? Something's coming for us And maybe we're not prepared That this might only be day one But doesn't it feel like the end? Something's coming for us I think we're not prepared That this might only be day one Thinking of ourselves, we are divided But if you fly your flag, they'll weaponise it Doesn't it feel like the end? When we can't even agree on what was said Would you come home If you didn't recognise it? Home's tryna be America They just don't advertise it But doesn't it feel like the end?
