If you are an alcoholic and give it up you are a legend, if you carved people up and now say its wrong you are a legend, no respect for people who done neither. All you hear all the time,we only done people who done wrong, yeah right. How many innocent people died in between. As thick as shit
@BernardOMahoneyOneTruth4 ай бұрын
From EssexBoys published 3 April 2000 It wasn't all one-way traffic. On Friday, 4 April 1993, I'd been to the Ministry of Sound on a social visit. When I left in the early hours of the morning four or five youths followed me up the Borough High Street and I sensed there was going to be trouble. From Muscle published 14 Mar 2003 After the Rettendon murders, I was doing a lot of thinking, wondering which people, which events, might be · significant and I remembered how Tony had changed so much in the months before his death, how he had become a contradiction of every-thing he stood for. Health, fitness, reliability were out the window, and he was on the slippery slope of serious drug abuse. One event that kept coming to mind was a night at the Ministry of Sound, which was then my top door job, when a bloke called Bernie Mahoney got stabbed. Through one of my regular doormen, Dave Dunne, he said he wanted to meet me. It was a meeting more dramatic than most - he turned up bleeding from a knife wound in his stomach. He was lying on the toilet floor writhing in agony. I suspected right away who might have done it, a mixed-race geezer who I'd banned once but he'd come back screaming up my name as a mate and he'd been given a second chance. He was a right nasty fucker and I soon found him, with the bloodstained knife still on him. So I was sure he'd done it. He denied it.

CARLTON The Final Say Carlton Leach 2021 Around 90/91, Fitzroy and Linval introduced me to this guy who was always bouncing about all over the place; one of those fellas who was 100 miles an hour, but a likeable character; his name is Marvin Herbet. Marvin got himself barred from Ministry by a club manager, but I was able to get him back in, provided he’d stay on his best behaviour. Dave Dunn turned up one night to see me, he had a guy in tow who apparently wanted me to give him some work on the door, but things were busy on the front door as usual, so I let them through into the club and said I’d catch up with them later. During the night, a shout came over the radio that a man had been stabbed, so I rushed in with a couple of other lads to see “what-was-what”. We were expecting to find absolute carnage, so it was a surprise when there was no one about with a stab wound, but we were quickly told that the injured party had fled (it transpired that he’d fallen to his knees crying and crawled out through a fire escape). The problem we did have on our hands though, was that my doormen had collared Marvin and when they told him he had to leave, he went berserk and was fighting with the lot of them! Leaning on the rule of mutual respect, I tried to speak to him, but he was too far gone, both in terms of temper and gear. So, between us, we managed to drag the big fucker from the tunnel to the main entrance. The others were holding onto him, especially as he had a tool in one hand, honestly…he was truly relentless, I had one more try at telling him to calm down and speak to me, but he got the other hand free and plunged it into his pocket…I was not going to wait for a knife or a shooter to come out, especially not with this fella, plus, enough was enough and although I hadn’t wanted it to come to blows between us, I had a responsibility. I grabbed my tool, shoved one of the other doormen out of my way and smashed Marvin in the head with it. Now unconscious, they carried him outside; he was in a pretty bad way, but he’s a tough bastard. I paid someone 40 notes to drive him to the nearest hospital and spent the next few hours and days feeling pretty gutted that he’d put me in that kind of position. We’d all wondered what had happened, who’d been stabbed and then disappeared, and it didn’t take long to learn that Bernard had made himself busy in the club, got involved as though he was one of my doormen and came proper unstuck, because Marvin saw him for what he was, didn’t respect him and chivved him! I guess he shouldn’t have stuck his nose in…

So he got the year wrong, who cares, that doesn't mean it's not true, I'm sure the 90;s were a mad time for Carlton so remembering the exact year isn't crucial, Marvin already confirmed the story, so that did happen to Marvin on that night, let's be honest if it is true then you could never admit it anyway, because you would have to admit that you were pretending to be a doorman😂😂😂

I was a Millwall attendee from The Walworth Road near The Elephant long before The ICF and the infamous 1972 Harry Cripps Testimonial at The Old Den.I gained a Scholarship to a prestigious Grammar School boasting 350 years of academic excellence and obtained a "2.1" at Gonville Caius, Cambridge University.My career to date has encompassed the academic and advocacy sectors with my critical thinking, interpersonal, and analytical skills forming the cornerstone of my engagement with both. I am constantly seeking new challenges in terms of my own research and the impact it can have in wider contexts and as a creative professional. So, what do you mean by "says it all ", mon ami?.....:)

when the bloke who did the stabbing, and then you have carlton backing it up 34 years later says it all. been waiting for the marv and carlton podcast on this for years. Sounds like it was a big night for all 3 of them ;)

I have no doubt Carlton was a handy guy back in his day and could handle himself. But all the stories over the years glorifying it makes it sound like it’s all rubbish
