I knew of geoff 22 years ago, and he used to be friends with a local Coventry pub landlord I worked for. Let me tell you he is one the most humble guys I have ever met and I knew he was the real deal as all the local psychos gave him great respect. At the time his physique was what you would expect from a fighting man, but then when I saw him 10 years later he was half the man he was but had a self assurance about what he could and couldn't do. This is true enlightenment and a man who you could truly look up to. Well done Geoff, you are an inspiration. 👍

Total bad ass back in the day and the go to for all top marital artists to pressure test their systems in Geoff’s animal days My old sifu did that very course of Geoff’s years ago and is a 6th dan and said Geoff was a total badass
@the8walls Жыл бұрын
I did one of Geoffs animal days with a guy called Gary Stringer in Derby back in the 90’s. Gary styled his style on Geoff’s style of martial arts and his art of ‘dirty fighting’. I trained 3 times a week with Gary and his guys. Sadly I had to leave Derby (long story but trouble with Chinese triads) and I moved on to other stuff but Geoff was a legend and massively underestimated, under exposed and not nearly well known enough in real combat circles. What an absolute legend. He also did some work with a Dave Briggs from Mansfield and I trained there for some time, these old school legends are inspirational pioneers of the art of fighting. They’ve been there and done it and inspired many of us.

As a lad from Coventry, born and bred, make no mistake, this guy ( geoff) is a man NOT to be messed with. Coventry ( believe it or not) is a hard violent city. Always will be. If you knew Geoff was on the door, you avoided him. Plain and simple. He could and would destroy you. It's great and very humbling to Geoff has finally found peace within himself. Such a proud honest man who is still on his own personal journey. Great interview James, many people try to imitate you, your interview techniques but they just ain't in the same league.

Went to Cov Uni in the 90's for 5 years when it was the most dangerous city in europe per capita. Trained with Geoff in the AT7 centre with his number 2, Alan, also a student at the time. It wasnt all animal day, there was a lot of listening and discussion. learnt a lot from this man and his club. He took the right path that couldve so easily been the wrong path. One of the only martial arts clubs Ive trained in where there was no attitudes!!
@antifusion20 күн бұрын
Back in it's day it was infamous through out europe amongst statistics - at first glance could sound like a boast but the truth it it's more akin to a hell-realm. When a piviotal industries end go hand in hand with poverty, organized crime and societal collapse you will see a breeding ground for dehumanization and extreme violence. This mans journey has effected and inspired me for multiple decades. Take 5 seconds to study the mans ears.

Read one of Geoffs books years ago and remember him writing that if you go into a pub and don't feel comfortable leave and go to another one. If your walking along the street and someone stops you to ask the time ( ok it was yrs ago ) go on Amber as the time it takes you to look at your watch he could mug you. I found this video interesting because ime and I am aged 72 I have stood up for people verbally and physically and come out of it as being wrong from both sides. I also wonder whether the more successful & richer you become its easier to transition to being what you want to be. We're all on our own journey but some are easier than others.
