It's so nice to see a lesson where they don't spend an hour saying, "Now put your finger on the 7th fret and then..." Thank you.
@frommetoyou44014 жыл бұрын
10-25-220 @tiki trash The lessons for the most part seem to be for us players who have a decent working knowledge and experience of how to play songs. So our Instructor does not usually give those type of "put your finger on the 7the fret" etc., explanations. There are several other YT music instructors who operate in a similar manner. It is expected that the "student" already is "up & running" with their guitar or bass playing. That recognized, some additional detailed explanations can be useful, e.g. with uncommon chords and complex parts.

James James correct. It was recorded at Olympic Studios in London during multiple sessions in 1969. Keith plays ALL of the guitars. Jones was already gone and Taylor joined later that year. Mixed at Electra Hollywood where Merry Clayton did the great backup vocals!

Gimme Shelter Would have been Epic in Apocalypse Now. Satisfaction was Good though. Hendrix's version without lyrics of All along the Wall Tower too. Ride of Valkyries was symbolic because Valkyries are the angels of death in Warfare. A little too clever idea that didn't age well.

@@sharkytwo No, don't worry, it was somebody else. And I get those comments all the time, it doesn't bother me. I just don't want the whole atmosphere of this channel to turn into people treating each other like dirt. There's enough of that already on social media. This is a positive place, and it's going to stay that way. Glad to hear you're enjoying the guitar. I don't think we can be fully formed people without a deep interest in music.
@sharkytwo5 жыл бұрын
@@jamesjames9275 Well I have the same opinion considering comments on channels .I always try to be politie .Some people think they are so much better .Probably most are teens I think .Now about playing open E or G .Do you block all 6 strings ? I struggle to block them properly or is it due to the long time you play that your pointer finger has shaped a bit to the neck .Or it's just enough sometimes to block the top strings mostly and mute or let ring the rest .

i like to crank this up and play along doing all of Mick Taylor's parts. They were really awesome when Mick Taylor was playing and writing all their songs. Mick Taylor this and Mick Taylor that. Have you seen the recent video of Keith playing Gimme Shelter? The intro sounds very good - but Keith is out of sight when it's being played. He only appears in view after the intro is completed. This has led to speculation a ghost player now plays the intro. I have a hard time believing they would do that - a flubbed note or two is part of the Stones' live charm. I will see them in Nashville on Saturday night.
